Ok so I quit quiet a while ago, right before Ruby sanctum (I lost my job and ran outta money)
Anyways, after my new job and tax returns for the last year, I'm able to purchase Cataclysm next week.
I had a paladin and a mage both 80 and both geared to just start doing ICC. Are paladins still decent, or should I go with my mage. I am better with the paladin but I lack a lot of decent tanking gear. (I know GS doesnt matter, but when I left I had like 4.2k for my tank set, stuff I grabbed from drops in heroics and the ICC 5mans)
any info would be awesome, thanks!

Paladins are 'decent'. Say goodbye to consecration, as it's got a mean cooldown. Mages are still great and one of the top 'raw dps' classes.
Game is still as stale and repeating as you remember. Even with the expansion.

Awesome thanks for the info on that. I talked with my friend and he said that if I were to transfer my paladin his guild would easily accept me as a holy or prot as soon as I hit 85
