The better healing spec is the one you like. So try both. Plenty of opportunity to do so while leveling if that's your thing.
The talent trees are clearly different, however not having healed in BC I can't tell you how that compares. Level 85 will probably force you into a new way of healing because of the mana cost, and to use all your tools. The couple signature things to try out, barrier for disc and chakra for holy, both have their uses.

Holy is far superior to discipline right now, but the latest patch addresses a lot of the Disc. issues.
Healing is a lot more challenging now so I doubt you'll be disappointed if you come back. That is if you enjoy a challenge.
