As the achievement &*!@# I am, I decided it was time to be able to track my completed achievements offline. Especially the number of achievement completed (multiple games) in comparison to the total number (in %).
So i did this, made an Excel spreadsheet. Loads of work since i have 3 big games (WoW, SC2 and D3) and most steam games are included as well.
Now i barely worked with Excel, so it was a lot of work to keep this updated, and eventually decided that my Excel skills could use an upgrade. I learned how to let Excel calculate the % automatically. Learned how it could add multiple cells into another to make it a total. Learned how i could let it change color of the text in a cell based on the % and let that be automatically update as well. (different for <25%, <50%, <75%, <100% and =100% at the moment)
So now i think it again is time to make things easier for myself.
I want to know how i can have the number of achievements completed (nothing more, nothing less) into a specific cell. Don't need anything else, just a way so Excel automatically takes the number of a website.
Now WoWhead is for sure not manually updating all chars. There is a way they download / extract this number from the armory and put it on their own website.
Is there a way to do this to an Excel sheet as well?
Preferably without programs that i have to download.
Don't worry if things get complicated, as long as it works i am happy for now :P
Your solution must be:
- Semi-automatic (like opening the file while internet is active and pressing "update" is fine enough)
- Must work with Excel (duh)
- Must work without internet connection (show most recent updated info from when internet was present)
Pros:
- Automatic (does it on start up without pressing or updating anything)
- Works with multiple Microsoft programs in adition to Excel (if i ever need something to change)
If there is anyone who can help me, you will be my hero for at least a year :P
Thanx for reading and especially for usefull replies!
