"I know my fair share of psychopaths," Vala'Sin chimed in, "you'll be meeting one shortly after - or before - we begin our travels. Possibly more, the jury is still out on who else I will call in." Maria and Gabriel were not surprised by the decision, they said nothing. "Can't say I'm familiar with your practice though, doctor. Not unless undead ichor could be counted as a blood."

Lisciel waved back, casually as he would to greet an old acquaintance. "I might trust a fellow archmage of Kirin Tor - well, at least if I knew them personally - but you got that right, not a big list to pick from. Good to have you on the team."
"Hey, stupidity is bliss. I'd choose that over being morose and brooding all day, every day," Vincent disagreed heartily, sticking his tongue out at Vala'Sin.

"O-okay, yeah, but now turn that up to eleven b-because half the people in the room are thinking the exact same thing!" Gabriel moaned, "Or complaining about something else semi-related! L-like that they aren't in the same group as someone else or

The youth trailed off, digging his fingers into the sides of his skull further, before abruptly releasing his head in a splay of unkempt strands of pale hair. He raised his eyes towards Benalathor, despite the fact Gabriel wasn't tall enough to see the sin'dorei above the people in front of him.
"Shh," he whispered, oddly conclusive, "we're moving on."
Gabriel's premonition was not wrong. Benalathor, having given the group some time to consider his last announcement, decided it was time to continue. He cleared his throat, hoping to hush the crowd long enough to once again receive their attention.
"The next aspect I chose to pursue was that of Nature, a concept core to Azeroth's being. I am sure all of you are aware, to some extent, of the Emerald Dream. Though for those of you with only passing knowledge, It is a realm mirror to Azeroth, though untouched by human hands and untamed. Nature is a powerful force in our realm, one that will be vital in countering the fouling touch of the Legion.
"However, unlike the other two artifacts I have thus far discussed, we will not be creating this relic from one that already exists. Unfortunately, I was unable to find an existing item that would suit our purposes better than making the artifact from scratch. We will be forging this relic from the tip of one of the roots of Nordrassil, the first World Tree. Many of the roots are deep beneath within the earth of Mount Hyjal, or steeped in the waters of the second Well of Eternity, but I have discovered that one breaches the surface in Darkwhisper Gorge.
"This is where the bearer and their companions will need to go in order to retrieve the piece of root. Though I will give you all fair warning, the Gorge, now routed of Twilight Cultists, has once again been attacked by demons. Those of you traveling this way will be given a taste of the battle to come, and I request that you remain stalwart, and drive the Legion from the base of the World Tree."
The sin'dorei paused, allowing the gravity of his words to be taken in full before he spoke once more, "As for the bearer, we have many talented shamans and druids in our company. Though they have all accomplished incredible feats, and it is a shame to pass the majority of them over, there is one candidate who embodies more than just one aspect of the natural world. Ferin Hopewell, I believe you are the most qualified to carry the totem that shall be forged from Nordrassil's roots."

"Well, dat explains it," Ga'Crane nodded to himself.
"Aw, don't be sad," Vincent crooned and slapped Vala'Sin on the back reassuringly. "I've once known a goblin who said that people interactions is exactly like rocket science - sure, it might blow up in your face at any given moment, but try long enough and you'll get somewhere amazing!"
Isaac's jaw dropped and he spun around, his gaze alternating between Ben and Ferin. When he realized he had not misheard, the half-Eredar fist-pumped and shouted, "Woo! Congrats, Ferin!"
"My congratulations as well, young Ferin," Ahriman intoned with a warm smile. "And to you, Zakar, Olet."

Ferin stared for a long moment. His mouth opened slowly, then closed, then opened again. "...what."
Xander stared for a moment, looking to the bird on his shoulder. "Well, sucks to be us." He shrugged.
Alana watched for a moment, pulling Gabe close and patting him on the head. "I think you need a drink..." She sighed.
She bit her lip, still upset about the lack of a giant legendary sword to smash people with. However, the thought of Ferin with a legendary did not elude her mind, causing the girl to bit her lip quietly.
The Dream Creep stared silently from its perch on Jenna's shoulder, tilting its head at the mention of the Emerald Dream.

Aria shifted uncomfortably as Hyjal was mentioned. She shrunk back, hoping not to hear her name - even when it was someone else who would wield the weapon she still hoped not to be called on to aid them... But, at the same time, the thought of demons ravaging somewhere so sacred, so beloved to her... She... she was conflicted, unsure of what to do...
Marisa couldn't stand it any longer. She stepped away, heading for a door she could use to step out of the room for a moment. Her good crystals she had been forced to leave behind when that damned note had brought her here, but she kept a few weaker ones on her person for just such a case as this. They'd do, for now.
