I don't know how to solve your Curse Client issue, but there is a fix out for Power Auras (I couldn't live without mine!)
There is a fixed version available on wowinterface:

PowerAuras is out of date for now. It's currently in beta with the devs and will be release eventually. In the mean time, as jki4813 (...) said, download the
fan fix
for MoP or I found the beta version using WowMatrix. Though I have to fully reconfigure it. I don't know if it's because of the beta status of the addon and it's intentionnally cleared for the new version of PowerAuras (yes, it's a whole new version).
