"Sounds like you have to get to work." She said putting the book away and grabbing her bag. "It was nice talking with you though Vrell. hopefully our path's will cross again." She stood and walked out of the tent to go see if she could gather some information on this artifact to see if it was what she searched for.

"You too!" Vrell waved, before finishing up the last scrap of food and standing up. "Okay, I'm done!" she announced, throwing her hands in the air. Hazel sighed, her hand twitching as she lightly pushed the bounty hunter out of the food tent.

Location: The Dark Portal, Blasted Lands
As Amanda and her three followers returned to the crater she spotted the living take off and fly towards the portal. "Follow them," she immediately ordered Blacknight. The ascendent took off across the land as a swirling cloud of black with a partially visible skeleton inside of it, passing through the portal seconds after the elves.
Shadowheart, Damion and Hansel walked back towards the caravan. Time to move on with their goals.

The nerubian's numbers were thinned quickly and a large number of those that remained quickly scurried away. About thirteen, however, remained to continue fighting, not that they would have much of a chance against there opponents.

Character
: Varima Jonespyre
Location
: Azjol'Nerub
Varima slid under a Nerubian's limb, which was trying to skewering her from the front, and sliced her glaive upwards, severing it from the main body, and then stabbing one point into the flesh under it's chest. The creature let out a horrible screech, which causing the night elf to cringe visibly, as she got out before being pinned underneath the corpse. Her hippogryph had locked one Nerubian down with her antlers, before pecking out both its eyes. When the thing ended up tripping, Azuretalon trampled it in order to reach the next arachnid creature.

Character
: Vincent Gaillard
Location
: Azjol'Nerub
"Aw, come on!" Vincent demanded, slicing off the part of the nearest nerubian that qualified as its face - he thought they were called chelicerae or pedipalps or something like that - and then running his weapon through the thing's cephalothorax. Apparently, the remaining eleven were focused on the elves and the dwarf, so Vincent, without much thought, shot his hand forward, Gwaesylwir flying out of his grasp and into another arachnid, the sheer kinetic energy in the throw enough to make the thing slide several inches across the cavern before collapsing, its hideous legs twitching and cracking as they buried into the floor.
Gaillard raised his hand and his weapon jumped into it, still as clean as it was when he had dragged it out of the sheath.

Vilsord
Badlands
Vilsord had been sitting patiently near the entrance to the tent while waiting for Vrell and Hazel to leave. When they did, she stood and shadowed them silently, her head slightly inclined towards the ground.

Vrell shoved her hands in her cloak, fumbling about for her sword hilt and looking particularly intimidating as she shifted her wonky demeanor for a menacing scowl. Hazel chose her steps carefully as she wove through the maze of tents and stalls, and shouting people--of course--to where a makeshift barrier, half fence and half wall, had been built around the excavation site. The only entrance led in from the camp, and two sentries stood guard.
"Hold up! Nobody passes through 'ere unless ye got permission," one of the two dwarves said.

Vilsord
Badlands
Vilsord stepped forward and loomed ominously over the dwarf. After a long pause of silence she reached into her sleeve and pulled forth the paper given to her by Hazel. She unfolded it so that it faced the dwarf all the while still leaning over him imperiously.

The dwarven guard snatched the paper and gave Vilsord an extremely sour look, probably internally mocking her hat, and read it over. About half way through his eyes bugged out and he passed it over to his partner. The other sentry stared at the parchment suspiciously, all though Vrell noted he was looking at
everything
suspiciously, so it might not have been the paper at all.
She hoped.
Eventually that dwarven guard passed it to the other dwarf, who read it again, before scowling, "All right, fine, ye have the authorization. Get on through ye gits."
He seemed upset not to be able to detain them as he and his partner opened the makeshift gate.

Taking the page back, Vilsord smiled and bowed politely. She tilted her hat away from Hazel, allowing a curious glance to escape from under her hat as she made her way into the dig site.

Hazel followed behind, with Vrell at her heels, patting both dwarf guards on the head (much to their annoyance) before they closed the gates behind them. The way down to the excavation was littered with tricky slopes and dirt that threatened to send you falling when you walked onto it, but eventually the mess of dug trenches and half-exposed bones faded to an old and worn stone walkway.
That walkway, in turn, led to an arch and the opening into the ruins.
"One step closer," Hazel smiled.

Badlands
Vilsord lifted her arm forward, gesturing for either Vrell or Hazel to lead the way. She would follow, taking inexhaustible caution when it came to choosing where to step.
"They are treating this very seriously, it seems. The Explorer's League is also not inclined to misjudge the significance of what they find."

Vrell looked at Hazel, who in turn took the lead as she strode through the archway, "While a nuisance, it is respectable, and gives me hope not everyone is lacking intelligence," the historian murmured, keeping her voice low in the echoing corridors of ancient stone and Titan architecture.

She roamed the camp for a bit searching for information. Soon she had what she felt was all the information she would be able to gather. Returning to the food tent she ordered a drink and sat and began to ponder over the information.
"Hmmm...from what I hear this thing could possibly be what I want....but if it were shouldn't I have felt it by now?" she thought. "Perhaps it's lost it's magical potency over the centuries." she took a drink of her ale. "If it's lost it's magical potency though then it's useless....hmmm....what to do?"

Badlands
"Knowledge is not meant to be hidden..."
Vilsord stopped in what might have been the middle of her sentence and removed her hat entirely. Pulling her black hair out of her face with one hand, she leaned forward to examine the Titan-esque edifices.
Her skin was pale, and she had a spry innocence to her features.
"My goodness."

Hazel glanced at what Vilsord was looking at briefly, with a touch of a smile, before continuing on. Vrell paused behind the woman and her hat with a slackjawed expression.
The historian stepped into the next chamber, feeling the instant effects of something heavy, a presence trapped within the ruins, a magic aura so strong that even those with no proficiency with it could have felt it. When Vrell eventually pulled away to catch up, she nearly doubled over.
"What the
fel
is that?" the bounty hunter choked out.
"Proof that we're not chasing a lost goose, Vrell."

Vilsord turned to see Vrell gawking and immediately pulled her hat back down over her face. Hastening to follow the pair she half stated, half inquired,
"I do not believe any ley lines are quite this shallow?"

"They should not be, meaning we're close. Or, at least, it is somewhere here," Hazel stated. She bit on her lower lip briefly, before hurrying on ahead, the deeper they went, the more dusty it got, and the more archaeologists were busy uncovering things. Most of them barely noticed the three, but a few turned their heads with sour expressions.

Vilsord continued to talk, blissfully unaware of the looks she had attracted.
"I do wonder if the League has attempted to triangulate the position of the energy's source. It has left an easily measurable imprint on the area, and an approximation would be simple, if somewhat inaccurate."
