"You don't? Lost your ability to make a choice along with your faith?", Marcus continued. "How about you, marksman? Are you more capable of decisions than master paladin here? Can you decide whether I stay or leave?"

Light preserve me
, Marcus thought and drew a quick and deep breath.
Here I go...
"So you had something to say after all. And you are right, some things are out of joint. And no", Marcus replied, "I've not lost my mind, although that would explain a few things. What I have lost is my confidence in both them", nodding towards the other paladins, "and you, sir!"

The troll shrugged off the kicks, instead going after Vincent's arms with its huge hands.

"Okay, Serenade, Specter, Miss Varima, Miss Azuretalon? Lending a hand - or, as it may be, a claw - right about now would be very much appreciated, in case you don't have anything else to do!" Vincent announced, dropping the act.
He dropped something else as well, counter-productive as it may have seemed. Namely, his enchanted sword, Gwaesylwir.
Which, according to the laws of gravity, proceeded to travel towards the floor with due swiftness, its tip pointing down.
With a satisfying sound of cold metal tearing the flesh, Gwaesylwir went through the troll's foot, pinning it to the floor. The gem in the pommel began to shine as the cursed weapon ravenously drew in the troll's blood.
"How'd ya like that?" Vince asked the troll, desperately lunging forward in an attempt to skewer the troll with the horns on his helmet.

Sunken Temple
Specter thought for a moment, lifting up a rather old vase from nearby and walking up behind the troll.
Yawning, he smashed it over the berserker's back.

"I wonder if it's wrong I find this amusing," Varima said, leaning against a nearby wall next to the fallen troll, after having mutilated it enough to make sure it was actually dead. She didn't move a muscle to help, actually. Azuretalon squawked something that might have been a 'negative' or something. Anyway, the hippogryph was on alert just in case something went wrong.

The troll flinched in sudden surprise at the sword went through its foot and flung Vincent away, who was caught by a burst of energy from Serenade and lowered to the ground.
The troll swayed for a moment or two, then fell to the ground, twitched once, and was still.

"Much obliged, gentlemen," Vincent nodded gratefully to both of them, picking himself up and rolling his shoulders. "One soft landing that was, too," he added, walking up to the now very thoroughly dessicated husk of a troll and tearing out the blade. He kneaded his lower lip to suppress a groan of pleasure as stolen life energy flowed into him through the hilt, washing away whatever bruises, scratches and so on and so forth he may have gotten in the battle.
"Mmmm, that hits the spot. Second best thing in the whole world," he muttered.

"We will see," Hazel murmured with an amused grin. "We'll see."
When the whole group had made their way up onto the ship's deck, a number of eager looking sailors came and pulled the gangplank away, while others shouted about them leaving and preparations started for the ship's departing. The historian headed towards the captain's cabin and ushered everyone inside after she opened the door.
The inside was somewhat crowded, but purged of knickknacks and only held essentials. Most of the room was taken up by a desk with rolled up maps scattered across it, with ink jars off to the side and stains across the wooden surface. The desk chair was turned away from the doorway, and whoever was sitting in the chair was tossing a knife up and down absently, its tip flashing as it came up.
"So with all the bloody hollerin' outside I oughta assume that we're bloody shipping out soon, huh?"
"That would be correct," Hazel replied. The chair flipped around in a fluid motion, as the man in the seat caught the knife between two gloved fingers and sheathed it.
He adjusted his triangular brimmed black hat, shadowing a hard face with grey eyes and a scar going from his right temple, across his face to his left jawline, with messy black hair falling just below his head. The man leaned back, crossing his arms against his chest, which like the rest of him was covered in fitting black leathers with straps crisscrossing with all manner of vials and hidden weapons.
Hazel tipped her head towards the group at the door, "I would like to introduce our new arrivals. Everyone, this is my contact--Vladimer Hawthorne."
Vlad smirked, "Welcome, all you Light-forsaken bloody suckers, to the hardest shopping list you'll ever have to find."

"Well, unless you all decided to show up here bloody empty-handed, then whatever you brought is," Vladimer stated, pulling his chair closer to the desk and unraveling some of the maps, before weighing them down to the table with ink jars and his arm.
Hazel glanced at Vilsord, "If you would, the artifact, please?" the historian asked politely.

Vilsord gripped her hat, hesitating nervously. She closed her eyes and lifted the hat, cringing fearfully when her face was exposed. Abruptly, she presented the goblet in one hand and slammed the hat back down to veil her features with the other.

"Thank you," Hazel said, walking over to the desk and setting the shrouded artifact on top of it, carefully removing part of the cloth so that Vladimer could get a look at it. "I cannot unveil the whole thing until we are a reasonable distance from the city, but we did retrieve it. Unfortunately, we have also made enemies of the Explorer's League."
The assassin studied the goblet with squinted eyes, before shrugging as if he had really no idea what it was, or really cared, "All right. Well I'll tell you what, that doesn't bloody matter much because by the time everyone knows your names and faces, we'll be on the bloody other side of the bloody world."
"Well now," Vrell grinned. "Ain't that something."
Vladimer tipped the brim of his hat down to the maps he was holding in place, with various detailed drawings of various parts of Kalimdor, "We've narrowed down the locations of a bunch of these whosits you want to find. There's three of them in Kalimdor. One in Silithus, one in Feralas, and one in Hyjal. I have the boats set for elven lands. Our best bet is to try for the Hyjal one first, bloody druids might actually agree to hand it over."
"We will have to see if negotiating does anything to help with that," Hazel replied, placing the goblet carefully on a nearby shelf.

"See? That's what I do - I talk, but most importantly, I make others talk. Talk is the prologue to action, and if you don't act, paladin, then nothing will change", Marcus said more fiercely, as opposed to the controlled manner he had preserved before. "And you are also right again. You can tell a lot from a man's company. Just don't judge him by it."
Marcus fell silent, not being sure if he was going in the right direction. He brought the cup to his mouth for a moment's respite, thinking intensively. When he resumed speaking, his voice was again calm and steady. "We are facing new enemies, and I'm afraid these mens' hearts will fail them. Fear drives them to do the things we both detest, so how will they have the courage to stand against the Legion's cruelty? I only ask you to always remember your calling, paladin, and always do good. For all our sakes."
