A smile twitched on Hazel's mouth, with a slight nod. Vrell stared at Vilsord, "I still don't understand a word she says," the bounty hunter complained.
The historian chuckled briefly, leaning on the railing as she glanced sideways at Vilsord, "You're quite interested in scientific pursuits--it's very admirable."
Vladimer grumbled under his breath as he slipped into one of the back-alleys of the town, using his cloak as a decent disguise in the shadows as he knocked on a door hidden behind a stack of crates.

Varima stumbled out of the inn, dark rings under her eyes from a lack of sleep. Azuretalon came around from the side of the inn, leaning against the kaldorei's side to support her. She shot Specter a glare as the pair found somewhere to stand and wait that was far away from the sindorei.

Specter glanced at the girl, then continued waiting for Serenade and, less importantly, Vincent.
He had already seen Varima's bloodlust. All it would take was the right buttons to push her again.
He thought, considering what her buttons might be.

Vilsord sighed sadly, "Yes. A hobby other than magic that doesn't attract denizens of metaphysical dimensions. It's a shame most seem to assume arcane and science mutually exclusive when they so diligently overlap."
Pausing, she stared down at her feet and began to address Vrell instead, least she feel ignored.
"When the Dwarves built their first steam engines they were only concerned that they worked as intended. It was the Gnomish inventors who at one point must have been dismayed that the engines were not entirely efficient and sought an explanation... at least, that is the most common speculation given the dispositions of the races in question. Either way it is almost certain that the genesis of thermodynamic research was a result of somebody's attempt to improve the steam engine..."
She trailed on, discussing how the partial efficiency could be explained roughly as the engine "leaking," energy and how that leaked energy was termed "Entropy," but trailed off before she had actually reached how this all tied into the odds being against them.

Vrell blinked, nodding slowly, "O-kay," she said, getting a small grasp on what the mage was talking about, but basically the simplified explanation still went straight over her head. The bounty hunter shifted over to one part of the docks and sat down on a barrel to think in her limited capacity.
Hazel bit lightly on her lower lip, pulling off her pack and shifting through some of the texts. She unraveled one of the maps and drew her finger across the various lands of Azeroth in contemplative thought.
"Password?"
Vladimer jabbed a throwing knife through the eyeslit of the door, causing the man behind it to let out a cry of agony, before throwing it open, "Fine-Fine! Come in! Sheesh!" the doorman whined.
The assassin grumbled, stalking inside and searching around for someone who looked half decently important in the crowd of ruffians and lowlives.

Vilsord lifted her head so that the brim of her hat wouldn't obstruct her view of the map. Silently, she watched Hazel.

Hazel sighed, rubbing her forehead, "Time, if only we had more time!" she muttered under her breath. ".. if we can't catch up, we'll be left stealing from thieves."
Vladimer sat down across the table from another man, and slipped a few coins over the surface before he could react. The man eyed the gold, and glanced up at the assassin, "What do you want?"
Smirking, Vlad explained in a quiet voice.

Cringing slightly, Vilsord reached up to rub her temples gently.
"If time is so much of a concern then there are alternatives to conventional transportation, though I would only recommend it in the most dire of situations."

Hazel sighed, "I know. And yet even I cannot justify it for this," she scowled. "Just the paranoid ramblings of a woman in over her head."
She mumbled the last sentence, partially to herself, as she watched the end of the docks for the assassin to return. Which, he in fact did, flipping a knife in his hand as he strolled up to the trio.
"Come with me and bring everything you need. Got a guy with some gryphons on the edge of town that we'll take to Hyjal," Vladimer said.

Vilsord retrieved her staff from the corner she had been sitting in, evidently content to travel light.
"Hyjal?"

"Hyjal," Hazel said. "The next artifact is there. Either we manage to convince it's guardians to give it to us, or we may simply have to warn them of the impending danger. Liberating it is most likely not in our best interests--the druids are no Explorer's League."
The historian gestured for Vrell, who shot up and nodded, heading after Hazel who was following Vladimer's lead.

"Druids," Vilsord began to muse.
"I don't believe I've ever met any. What are they like?"

Vincent walked out, looking disgustingly fresh and obnoxiously cheerful. He took a deep breath of the morning air, smiled and spread his arms. "This is gonna be a great day-hey-hey-hey!" he announced - not loudly enough to wake anybody in the inn, but far from whisper.

Vikus had actually been around the whole time, he had just been very quiet. Until now.
"Imagine creepy old elven men changing into animals, hugging trees, and controlling nature. That is a druid. Usually ridiculously overconfident, from what I have experienced. It's quite a nuisance."
Vikus clearly has not had good experiences with Druids.

Vilsord continued to keep pace patiently behind Hazel.

"You could most certainly assume that. You'd most definitely be correct, too."
Vikus walked beside Vilsord, he kept his hood over his head and most of his face. He did however eye his surrounding quite a lot.

The inquisitor lay face down in the wreckage, the vast pool of magic at her disposal ensuring she was unhurt bar a large number of cuts and bruises. The human rolled over and lay panting for a few moments, letting her mind clear and the pain subside.
Her second in command was quick to react to the distraction, under his direction a barrage of spells hurtled towards both the infernal's leg-joints in quick succession.
On the rooftop meanwhile, the less-injured crossbowmen regrouped. Now they took up positions on the neighboring buildings, staying spread out and above the infernal's reach. They readied their weapons and grapnel hooks as quickly as possible, but were not yet ready to open fire.

"I have personally found druids to be quite knowledgeable and kind. Stubborn, yes, and harming nature is probably not a way to get on their good side," Hazel mused. The group found their way to where a shady looking man was standing aside a group of gryphons. Vladimer procured a bag of coins and tossed it at the man, before tipping his hat.
"Good business, then," the assassin muttered as the man walked away, before glancing back at everyone. "Mount up and let's get moving."
Vrell picked one of the gryphons and swung herself into the saddle, with a silent cheer. Hazel and Vladimer followed the bounty hunter's lead, with much less fanfare.

"Well then," Robert sighed, "Bribe it is. Now let's go before I get too scared."
The infernal roared, slamming its fists into the ground in front of it with enough strength to raise a blazing crevasse bifurcating the street and going into and through a large house.

Vilsord hoisted herself up with relative ease. Only moments after making herself comfortable she had to stifle a massive yawn. As she stretched her arms over her head, she looked around for Vikus.

Vikus sighed, and reluctantly mounted a gryphon that was just beside Vilsord's. He wrapped one wrapped the reigns around one hand, then tied a tight knot in the reigns so that his hand couldn't get free. Vikus would then hug the Gryphon tight.
"Have I ever mentioned that I hate flying?"
