Nathanael Sopwith
Badlands
"Now you're thinking", Nathanael said. He continued, "and knowing that there is at least one elf of unknown allegiance here, I would rather get up on my feet and start moving than lie here and wait for you to be stabbed in the back. Though it would come as a relief at first, it could put me in an even worse position."

"Fine, rotter," Vrell said, wrenching him to his feet (or at least trying to) by the shoulder as she bent down.
"You walk on, where I can see you, until you're far enough away that you can't try anything dirty. If you do, I stick a crossbow bolt into the back of your brain. Got it?"

Coria
Badlands
To pass the time, Coria juggled a couple of fire balls and whistled a fine tune. Her elven ears picked up some vague sounds, voices perhaps? Or just the sounds of nature? She shrugged snd continued to illuminate herself with the fire.

Only far enough that you can't see me... five feet in this darkness
, Nathanael thought with a grin.
But at least it seems like I got away
.
He began walking, slowly, making as much creaking noises as he could. Counting his steps and the distance carefully... three feet. Five feet. Ten.
I could burn her to bits...but not without the whole of Badlands knowing.
Fifteen feet away, he suddenly halted. As quietly as he possibly could, he turned to his right, took three steps and stopped.

Vrell had traded her blade for her crossbow just to make sure she could deal out her threat if needed. When the undead had moved on, the bounty hunter, very carefully, took steps backwards until she felt safe enough to turn around and start jogging back to where she had left the horses and Hazel.

Nathanael Sopwith
Badlands
Nathanael waited silently for a few minutes. He heard the human head away back the way she came.
That went well
, he thought and grinned.
After a few moments of further waiting, some sort of light could be seen not very far away. It was moving and flickering, like a flame, but it had a strange feeling to it. It came closer.
This time I definitely have the advantage...

Coria
Badlands
Coria could not help but realize she should not be expossing herself this much. She quickly killed all but one dim fire ball and walked a bit faster. She heard the faint sound of a wild boar, which only spoked her more. She tried her best to lower her breathing but failed. "Come on Coria, you are better than this..." she muttered to herself.

"Could've handled that better for sure," Vrell grumbled. She wasn't sure how much time had passed through that whole thing, and the time it took her to get back to camp. She bent down, lightly stirring Hazel awake. "C'mon, we've gotta move. More comprising situations and what not, I'll explain on the way."

The light moved closer, and a few moments watching it revealed it's approximate direction. It seemed like it would pass within a stone's throw from his position. Suddenly, the lights dimmed significantly, but they didn't appear to change direction or speed of travel.
A minute passed, and Nathanael began to recognize the light as a small but steady flame.

Coria
Badlands
Coria decided to find shelter until light came out. She intensified to locate any possible natural shelter. Instantly, she spotted a small cave, not a deep one, only a little indent with a ledge over it. She turned the fire off and ran to that location. Once there, she unpacked her bag to make another makeshift camp.

Badlands
The travelling light suddenly went dark, and instead a pair of running feet sounded on the rocks. The footsteps were fading though, moving clearly away.
Even if I'm not going to set up an ambush, I can't stay here in the open
, Nathanael thought. No silhouettes or shapes of the terrain could be discerned, and so he had only two options; walk blindly in an arbitrary direction, or conjure a light. Neither were particularly safe, but he decided to take the risk of a blind walk, and so began walking in the direction he had last heard the footsteps before they disappeared.

Coria
Badlands
Coria ignited a camp fire foe protection. She gave a sigh of relaxation and calmed herself down. "The ley lines, what do they say?" she asked herself, reminding herself why she was even here. Tuning in, she noted nothing out of ordinary with the magical fields.

Vrell and Hazel were back on their horses and moving as soon as they were able to pack everything up. As they rode, Vrell casually explained what had happened to cause the early leave, and Hazel's expression darkened considerably, even if it wasn't visible.
"We need to get to that camp," Hazel said grimly. "If we wait much longer, the artifact might slip right out of our grasp."

Nathanael eventually came across some rising terrain formations, which he followed until he found a crack large enough for him to fit in. He pushed himself in and waited. Dawn would soon break.

"He speaks truthfully," Markoth said with a curt nod. "It's to the southwest of Ironforge. We can get there quickly, if needed."
Character
: Serenade
Location
: Valgarde Keep
The dwarf entered the inn, keeping an aura of casual arrogance about him, and sat at a nearby table. His hair and beard were both black, though his face was covered by a black mask, and the rest of him by a black, hooded coat. Several wires and speakers were looped into the bottom of the coat, which hung heavily off of his frame.
The bartender signaled him, but Serenade just shook his head and waited. A prospect would be there soon, and we wanted his mind clear.

Vrell glanced at the sky, noting that day was fast approaching. She tightened her grip on the reigns and pushed the stallion to its limits, galloping after Hazel's mare. The historian was having a hard time keeping control, but doing well enough to guide the horse towards their destination. It didn't take either of them long to notice the sprawling 'village' of canopied tents surrounding the excavated site.
"Looks like we found it," Vrell muttered.
Character
: Varima Jonespyre
Location
: Valgarde Keep
The young night elf girl, no older than her early teens by the standards of her race, walked through the center of the very undeveloped heading of the frozen continent. She kept her head down, dark rings under her eyes and a disarrayed mass of green-teal hair noted her lack of proper care. Behind her, a growing hippogryph, only barely large enough to carry the elf, followed seeming only half-alert and just as tired. Varima shivered in her leathers, and the coat she was wearing, less from the cold, and more from the circumstances.
Outside the inn, she half-turned and held up a hand, "Sorry Azure, but you've got to stay out here," she whispered quietly. The hippogryph lowered her head with a pitiful squawk.
"I'll be back," Varima muttered, heading into the building with her arms stuffed inside her sleeves.

Serenade took notice immediately as the night elf entered.
This is my prospect?
he thought incredulously.
She shouldn't even be out of Teldrassil. They expect me to take her to Azjol'Nerub?

Varima glanced over her shoulder for a moment, before scanning the inn with a dim gaze. She landed on Serenade after a handful of tired passes, and rubbed her eyes before finding a seat across from the dwarf, arms crossed in front of her.

"Oh thank the Sunwell." Coria muttered as she collected herself and broke camp. She looked off into the distance, decided on a direction, and went back to walking.
