Death Knight Soloing Build

I know there's threads like this a lot, but i searched around and couldn't find what I was looking for. My death knight has been sitting on the shelf since I leveled him shortly after wrath's launch and I recently picked him up again to start getting him geared ( I have a long way to go, here's my armory currently : http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Dethecus&n=Seru ).

Long story short, I decided to put tanking with him aside and instead want to use him as an achievement #$%^&. My goal is to solo as much BC content as possible. With my current gear and frost spec I'm managing alright, but I'm sure there's something better out there. I'm looking for a spec with the sole goal of survivability in these solo situations. Any idea's would be greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance for your time =)

I think it might center around your playstyle, but remember, Unholy DK's will have the strongest Death Strike healing, so that on each 2-pass rotation, you can regenerate 45% of your HP when you sub DS in for SS.

I've only tried BC heroics on my bear though, so just thinking purely of numbers.

Awesome Guys thank you for the info. I just got my dual spec set up and i'm messing around with a blood build. I tried using it in H Ramparts/ H BF and it seems to be working pretty well. If anyone wants to take a look at it my armory links at the top of the page. Any suggestions would be great. Remember, its tailored for soloing survivability so I skipped some things you see in most "cookie-cutter" builds.

Hey I know this is a bit of a necro, but I'm the OP and I figured this was a suitable update to the thread (as opposed to starting a new one on the topic). I took everyone's advice into consideration and came up with this build : http://www.wowhead.com/?talent#j0EuqIhIRcRfoRt0xZ0g:hiG

I've been messing around alot with it and so far it's performing incredibly well. I was messing around in Heroic Utgarde Pinnacle with it and I was able to solo the single pull scourge hulks without breaking a sweat. I'm trying to solo my way through the Outland Dungeon Hero achieve and I think this is gonna work quite well.. I said this in my original post but just to be clear this spec is JUST for soloing old content, I know that It's in no way optimal for anything productive at level 80 aside from old school achieves.

If anyone has any constructive criticism or ideas on how I can switch this around to make it better It'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance =)

I don't see a need for DRW in a soloing build, to be honest. If you're just doing old content, mobs usually die fast enough anyrate.

Mobs do, but for bosses, ive found its helpful to get them down quick enough. Especially in fights where there's a stacking debuff of some sort (Doomwalker for example). Every second counts.

If its really not much of a damage boost though, do you have any suggestion where I could put the point instead? (Main Spec is frost, DRW just looked like it dished out enough damage to be useful, I'm really not too sure though)
