Earlier today I got
Bladefist's Breadth
, a wet dream for every melee dps new to Outlands, for my DK alt and I refuse to use it. I currently have the two starting trinkets
Soul Harvester's Charm
and
Signet of the Dark Brotherhood
since I for some reason believe Parry is somehow an über stat for DK's.
Now the question is should I switch Bladefist for the parry (or the other) trinket? Is Parry not the superior stat I thought it was? What about Swordshattering?
What is the deal with parry I'm just asking?
Also if parry is (or isn't) the super stat for DK's, shouldn't I be using the Rune of Cinderglacier, since every time I refresh my diseases I deal
frost
and
shadow
damage? I'm really confused.
I'm level 64 and currently using
this
build. Following the
blood leveling build in this thread
.

Parry is an avoidance stat you use for tanking.
If your not tanking, think like a warrior, stack dps stats.
Drop the parry and pick up the crit unless you plan on tanking.

Cool. I'm not gonna tank on this char, I'll stick with my warrior for tanking. What I was thinking though is that the
Signet of the Dark Brotherhood
gives a nice AP boost sometimes when parrying. But then again, it's just sometimes so I guess the 26 crit rating is superior.
The thing I was just worrying about was parry, but apparently if it's just a tanking stat, I'll just skip it. It just made me wonder since we get parry from every point of strength, so I thought it was useful for us somehow not tanking-wise.
Thanks! ;)

the only time parry is decent for soloing is once you get rune strike. I actually tried using rune of swordshattering on my weapons for a few levels while soloing, and found it about equal to fallen crusader in terms of overall damage, simply because of more rune strikes.
Rune strike's damage is getting hit in 3.0.8 though, so that wont be much of an option anymore =P
