And well it dropped so we both need rolled on it but we both rolled 39... my friend got it. Is there any way we can get it both?
Yes, it involves killing Baron Rivendare again (and again and again and so on...; if you're unlucky like me /sigh).
On a sidenote, can he drop the mount in Naxx too? :)

If you both roll the same, the server performs another roll which can't be seen and the winner of that will get the item. We had the same issue in Pinnacle heroic where 2 party members rolled 99 on the Proto Drake mount, the only option for the guy that lost the roll is to run Stratholme again for it.
