Desperate need of help! Account locked
Return to board index
I searched for threads with similar problems but unfortunately none managed to answer my question!
It seems that every unlocking or account recovery stage is only for battle.net accounts!
now the thing is, I got hacked for the first time so yes I'm a noob at this.
However I managed to recover my battle.net account! I tried my best to secure it, I change the password and tried to change the e-mail here comes
problem number one
it requires my secret answer and question..which I forgot! I finished the webform and this is the reply I got which I dont understand how to reply to! or how it says how I can change the answer and question.
okay! so hopefully that will help me change my e-mail but now we come to
problem number two
I can log into my battle.net account! I was happy I could, really! but this however doesnt mean I can play the game because my world of warcraft account itself is locked! how on earth do I unlock it?
I virus scanned my computer and did a trojan check for keyloggers, both is clean. Please help.
Send an email to Blizzard to let them know what happened, and if you can, call their customer support...of course, you'll probably have to wait till Monday for that one.
yeah, I probably do.
Could you possibly provide me which e-mail is best to place such questions? they have a lot of e-mails listed also where I can come across the number.
thank you, I'll try these and hope it works.
The address to send the emails to is on the Customer Support website.
How do you forget the answer to something like "what was your first pet's name?" Security questions are easily remembered for a reason.
I have no idea..it is the city I was born in and I tried it with lower case, uppercase and everything! and nothing seemed to work so either I thought it didnt matter at all and just typed in a random thing OR the hacker changed it for some reason. either way, I cannot seem to use it.
Crash, you need to contact Blizzard directly about this. Having your account hacked can be a scary experience in itself, a very violating one. But the best answer you'll get from this forum is redirection to contact Blizzard directly. More specifically their Billing Department which is open seven days a week from 8am-8pm Pacific Time Zone. Currently if you're calling in the US, they can be reached at 1 (800) 592-5499 (1 800-59-BLIZZARD). Since you requested their email, you can also reach them at email@example.com. Hope this helps. Good luck to you.
I'd suggest calling, if you still have one of your install discs you can tell them the key code to verify that you are the original owner, and even if not the worst they may need is for you to fax or send them a copy of a photo id. Don't worry too much (I know it's nerve-wracking to have your account stolen) and good luck on getting it all fixed up :) I've found speaking directly to a representative over to phone to be a better way to get things resolved even if it means a long wait on hold rather than playing email ping pong.
Edit: oops did not see the timestamp on the last response by OP. Ignore my bump on a thread that's prolly resolved /blush
