Destruction/Demonology Warlock Lonesome
Return to board index
Just thought I would throw this out & see where it lands. I moved over to Thrall because I was despondent over my old guild going strictly PVP only, and I wanted to go back to raiding. But so far, 3 months now, it's been pretty much a lost cause. In this MoP xpansion, I have all LFR xp, & every guild I talk to wants from day 1 xp in the real raids. Oh yeah, guilds will give you a place to park, and then tell u, sorry, raid teams are full, so you're still in the same spot u were b4 u got the parking spot.
I'm wanting an actual raiding guild that has a spot open. LFR is good for the itch to raid, but does nothing for you when a guild does not accept that as actual raiding. And the gear is not the same either, it seems to be a cut down version of the main gear. So, just in case anyone on Thrall sees this, are there any raiding guilds left that don't have 900+ members, and 2-3 FULL raiding teams? And it's not like I'm not negotiable, I've been doing alot of older content for the mounts and acheevs., just to pass the time, but that is gonna run out sooner or later.
Open Raid is a really good alternative to raiding, but after the raid is over, the group disperses back to their own realm, and you're left standing by yourself again. And I will say that b4 this MoP, xpansion, I have been raiding since the Burning Crusade, so plenty of knowledge & xp in raiding, just coming up short lately. Not really whining about it, if all else fails, I'll just stay with Open Raid raiding, at least I'm seeing the content, and will no doubt see it all when the new xpansion comes out & everything is all shiny and new to these "leet & professional" guilds, but sometimes I just despise being late to the party and wearing the wrong costume.
Kinda leads one to think that the guilds these days feel you are not any good and not worth the time if you were not there at day 1 when the guild was born. That puts a bad stink in the air and can turn some away from guilds period. But I'm hoping there is a possibility here somewhere. More or less a crap shoot. Just not wanting any guilds to offer a "parking spot" in a guild that is 900+ members strong, & only wanting new people for the numbers. I like to consider myself extremely active, and want to do more than just log on, do dailies and log off. Thanks for reading this, IF you got this far.
I read your whole story and understand where you are coming from. Our guild may be a good fit for you so that you're not so lonesome anymore. We definitely have an open spot for a ranged dps, especially a warlock. Please see guild details below. : )
(PVE-EST) Server: Gorefiend
We're recruiting for Mists of Pandaria 25-man heroic raiding.
<Riot> has existed since the launch of vanilla WoW. Originally hailing from the Warsong server, we made our move to Gorefiend in the middle of The Burning Crusade, eventually becoming one of the longest standing 25-man raiding guilds on Gorefiend. Our primary goal is to clear the most current content as it becomes available on both normal and heroic 25-man difficulties.
<Riot> is a hard-casual guild. We have a focused, but fun and friendly raiding environment. We also have a very dedicated leadership and we do our best to maintain a good reputation on our server.
Mogu'shan Vaults: 4/6 25 HM & 6/6 25N
Terrace of Endless Springs: 2/4 25N
Heart of Fear: 6/6 25N
Dragon Soul: 8/8 Heroic 25. Savior of Azeroth. Glory of the Dragon Soul Raider (25). (Many dragons)
Firelands: 7/7 Heroic 25. Firelord.
Other 25 Heroic: Sinestra, Nefarian, Al'Akir.
We will consider exceptional applicants but are currently focused on recruiting the following classes:
1 Ele Shaman
1 Melee (ww monk, ret, or feral druid)
Evening Raiding Times (Eastern US):
Wednesday 8 - 12
Thursday 8 - 12
Sunday 8 - 12
The guild's focus is 25-man endgame content. We do not care about 10-man content when a 25-man version exists.
Must be able to meet the above raid times. 100% attendance is not required, but you must have a compatible schedule. That includes all raiding days. We need dependable raiders.
Must be a team player. We recruit enough to ensure that we can keep raiding even if someone has to miss a night, so
candidates must be okay with the possibility of sitting out on occasion
Mains only. No second raid lockout for your alt. And please don't ask to bring your alts to farm content on primary raiding nights.
No drama queens. Can't emphasize this enough. We like Gorefiend and we don't want drama with other guilds. Don't bring it here.
We are not a hardcore guild. Yes, we're committed to 3 nights of 25-man heroic content, and we are serious when raiding. We do what we can in that time. We do not add extra days to push content. We do well enough, but we do not stress about server firsts. If this is a problem for you, do not apply.
Decent 25-person endgame raiding experience required. This includes pre-Mists of Pandaria.
Decent internet connection required. If you're affected by the recent Time Warner/BrightHouse latency/connection issues, please let us know in your application, as there are ways to circumvent this.
We use EPGP for loot. (
We use Mumble rather then Ventrilo for raid communication. (
) Please install prior to any tryout.

Is it alright if I call you Krom? I'd like to invite you to check out our guild Advent Immortal. We are also on the Thrall server (no server transfer fees yay!), and are currently seeking members interested in raiding, pvp, and guild events. You do not have to participate in any events that you do not wish to participate in, of course.
We are a level 25 guild, and are trying to rebuild our raid team(s).
is a link to our recruitment post here on Wowhead, and it includes a link to our website as well. If you would like, we can arrange a meeting in-game to answer any questions you might have. Our guild leader is Lectron, and he would be more than happy to speak with you.
We look forward to hearing from you, and best wishes!
