i am not a good theory crafter so i do my best to get what i can out of forum posts and rawr, but rawr seems to change from day to day, one day it rates my gear with sp gems realy high, others it rates sp the lowest and wants int/spi gems as best. even if i don't change anything (witch is most times) it still changes.
can someone with a good hand at this just do a once over and see what i am missing? should i still be staking sp? was it cause my mana dropped below 30k?
mana has not been an issue even with the last guy in icc25 so not sure that i need to stack more of it.
my role is normally tank/off tank healing.
is there a link to disc loot rank? i always seem to find dps ones.

Like you, I had been struggling to configure my discipline priest with Rawr. I have my fight set to 330 seconds (300 seconds will suffice, but adding an extra 30 seconds forces me to over-tune slightly for new content).
Next, choose all the raid buffs you know you will have. If you're in a steady 25 man guild choose them all. If you're running 10s then be more careful with the buffs you know you'll have.
Rawr seems to want us to have over 30k mana (or 26k unbuffed). I personally like to have as close to 32k mana as possible, without having to gem into intellect. There's a very fine threshold in Rawr that if you drop 1 mana point below (what Rawr thinks is) the "mana cap", the value of
intellect and
mana per 5 will skyrocket. Then if you go over the threshold, it values haste, then spellpower, then crit. Assuming you've got over 30% holy spell crit and 26k mana, your weight scale might look something like this:
Haste rating: 4.29
Spellpower: 3.29
Crit rating: 2.68
Intellect: 0.74
If you drop under this so-called "mana cap" that Rawr so fiendishly enforces, your weight scale may invert itself:
Mana per 5: 4.57
Intellect: 3.69
Spellpower: 3.02
Crit rating: 2.32
Haste rating: 2.01
Spirit: 1.65
This is happening because Rawr is calculating a
precise amount of mana that you'd require to be able to chain-cast heals for 330 straight seconds, while also using Shadowfiend, a mana potion, and possibly even Hymn of Hope.
So, my advice to you is to try to stay over 26k mana unbuffed, and just gem for spellpower after that. At your gear level, focus on raw output stats like
haste and
crit, and use the first weight scale that I linked. If you start having mana issues again (which you really shouldn't), pick up a bit more intellect. Rawr is tricky and doesn't really give a steady weight scale which would carry you from Naxx10 to ICC25, in terms of consistency.
Edit: here's a quick
Wowhead loot list. This includes ToGC and Icecrown(N).
