Disc vs Holy, thus far..

So far I am enjoying healing as my priest in wrath, it is a welcome change from my warlock.
As a guild leader, I raced to eighty in about 3.5 days after wrath hit, and then tried to gear up initially as shadow. I decided it felt too much like a warlock, so decided to heal...
Suprisingly, from running heroics as shadow, I picked up more healing gear then I did dps, so the transition wasn't too brutal. I started as cookie cutter holy 14/57, and did alright to begin with. Some stuff fights, like hHoL were hard, but fun and rewarding. But some stuff was downright difficult, and although my aoe heals were fine, single target was a little frustrating. So I decided to try out disc.
I can now heal any heroic with relative ease, even those with heavy aoe due to glyphed Holy Nova, which with my stats is something like 100 less hps, and .1 less hpm than CoH but requires people to be a little closer. But what sold me was single target. Sure PoM and renew are great, but the buffed PW:S and Penance make healing one target so easy. I started stacking a little more crit, int, and haste, due to regen buffs in disc. I can easily heal through the hardest single target dmg in heroics, like berserker stance charged up Bjollnier (or w/e is name is) and enraged Jagoda in OK. While holy does look better number wise due to spirit to spellpower conversion, I simply found disc better for 5-mans by a long shot.
I recommend disc to any starting 80 priests for 5-mans. It is an excellent way to gear up a bit for raids, and for going CoH later, once you have a good blue base with lots of spirit. CoH does excel in raids purely because of raid wide healing, but healing Naxx as disc still very easy due to prayer of healing and holy nova. Other healers can help on aoe because of the strong single target heals in disc.
Overall I am very impressed with the disc tree, it offers good buffs, great regen talents, specifically in the form of Rapture. Penance is godly once you have acheived some decent crit and haste. After a PW:S that protects for nearly 5k, a now-hasted Penance can easily blow someone up 8-13k in around 1.3 seconds. Combine this with a Holy Nova Glyph, and this spec is fully capable of healing in almost all situations.
