DK Tank self-healing in Cata?

I was a blood tank in WOTLK, up to ICC25 9/12. Stopped playing for work reasons in may.
My forte was self healing, I enjoyed soloing MC-Kara-ZA.
Now I can read the changes to Death Strike & co, but can't put my finger whether they gimp self healing of old or not. What's the word on the street? I would feel bad not being able to solo that stuff anymore. Tnx for info.

The death strike self-healing was nerfed a bit recently. The upcoming 4.0.6 patch notes have said that the blood shield will stack now. It's technically not a buff, but it means you don't have to really time your DS like you do now.

Blood self-healing is quite mad now... I actually went and soloed Magtheridon & Doom Lord Kazzak few days ago. I was wearing dps gear with tanking spec. Couldn't kill the summoner adds, so I just kept them there (pesky little healers), took magtheridon when he came and let it roll. Afterwards I also soloed Al'ar (1min to enrage). Tried Kael'thas also but Conflag when all bosses ressurrect was too much.
But soloing raid bosses is quite nice and rewarding. Magtheridon & Kazzak both dropped 500g and Al'ar 250g :D
