It still not clear. WHERE you do not want to see it? The amount of damage can appear in multiple place like the combat log, over your head, etc.

Try go to your Interface options, then go on Combat text. There you see Enable flating combat text were you can eneble / disable stuff that appears in combat.
If you want something that you dont get the numbers on your portrait you need an addon, I dont know what one. And if you got a problem with this in an addon you already use, please post the name.
