Do I need a guild? Yet...

So far I have successfully pugged 10man Naxx, 10/25man OS, and 10/25man Vault.
The farthest I've gotten in 25man Naxx was Patchwork.
Now when I mean pug, I mean more of a ringer. I try to roll with guilds that need a spot or two filled for the raid.
I don't have time to be full time raider, and I don't think my girlfriend would be very happy with it either lol.
So what you guys think? Think I'll be able to continue my luck through Eye of Eternity....Ulduar....Icecrown Citadel? lol
PS...I am in a guild, but they level so slow and I don't really want to leave them (RL Friends)

The reason I ask this question is because I noticed a guild recruitment message on my server mentioning that finding a pug later on down the road will be hard.
Now this might have been something to scare people into joing their guild, but it made some sense.
Will it be harder to find pugs for raids down the road?

I doubt it. But it might well be harder to find
good
pugs.

Best thing to do if you don't want to hop in a raid schedule and leave your friends in your guild would be as suggested to befriend a few raid/guild leaders so they ask you first when they have shortages. Or you could just get an alt to stay in your guild and immerse yourself into raiding.

Pugging IceCrown would be like pugging Sunwell. Highly unlikely that you'd succeed without the instance taking a hard hit from the nerf bat. But then, there are
some
end-game raiding guilds who may pug a dps or two to finish a raid. So you have hope if you don't join a guild.

Stay in your current guild with your friends. Become friends with some guild leaders and guild officers if you can. Be useful and helpful each time you PuG with any guild. If you can preform better than some other members in the guild your PuG'ing with, then you're in business. Just don't do anything stupid :)
agreed, in my guild, we have a lock who we pug frequently with, he is in a guild with rl friends that he doesnt want to leave, but he is a pro player so we let him pug with us. if you cant really commit to a guild with a raid schedule etc, what you have now might be best option, just get close to the leaders.
as for content further down the line, it will be hard for you, as a pug, to keep up with the gear requirements on top of the fact that no one would want to bring a pug to sunwell (icecrown)

Yeah, thats what I worry about. Guilds not wanting to bring along a pugger. I will have to continue to increase my relationship with guild masters.
I've been lucky so far. I got some more gear over the past two days and I'm now all T7 equvialant + 3 blues.
I'm guessing with some luck I can pug some of these raids. I know I have the skill, cause at the moment, none of these bosses are hard.
I'm at the point right now where I can run EoE. But guilds needing a pugger for EoE on my server right now are very few, maybe once a week some one will ask. But what I have to worry about now is learning the fight. I'm hoping a guild will let me run it with them if I don't know the fight yet.
