... roughly when they plan on opening up DK creation for servers you don't currently have a 55+ on?
Smaller upcoming patch before the first major one? Patch 3.1? 3.3? 5.7?
Just wondering if there was a time estimate for that at all.

It was originally planned this way, but as far as I've heard, there's been no word on it, so either it was scrapped completely or they didn't finish putting it into the game correctly.
It may seem silly that it didn't get in on time, but perhaps there were problems communicating between servers or preventing everyone from creating them on brand new servers.
Anyway, I don't think there has been anything said about it at all, so we may or may not see it.
It was originally planned for any server, but they changed it to just a server you currently had a 55+ character on at launch and said they would open it up at a later date. They said they didn't want low population servers to have a ton of people rolling DKs and having the pop suddenly be 90% DKs, but said they would open it up sometime after launch.
I was just wondering if there's a timeframe for that at all.

I would of imagined as a hero class starting at level 55 that they wouldnt open it up at all. That would defet the perpose of having the 1st 55 levels for anyone new to the game that wanted a DK.
No no, you still have to have a level 55+ character on your account, but you will be able to create a DK on a different server is all.
Right now we're restricted to creating a DK only on servers that we currently have a 55+ character on, but they've said they will eventually be opening it up and you can create a DK on any server as long as you have a level 55+ character on your account.
I'm asking if there's a time estimate for when they will open that up.

That works for me. I loved the starting quests, and would definitely be interested in going back and doing them again. Hell, after i got to outlands, and to level 61, I sold all my gear, mailed all the money I had earned to my old Main, and re-rolled, just for that reason. It's a personal addiction I have, like when BElves came out, I rolled nothing but them for like a month. I was getting so proficient at the end of it, I could be a level 5, with all the starting quests completed, and have made it to the nearest Inn in under 25 minutes. My goal became, beat the best time, a half hour or less at a time. lol. Can't wait to roll a new DK on a different server, trying a different race, and perhaps eventually transferring the DK off of my primary server, to transfer a new level 80 in. I made the mistake of NOT reading ElitistJerks posts before creation, and now wish I had gone with Orc instead of Blood Elf. Didn't realize what a mistake I had made until 80. lol
