Have checked a few sites, wow.com, wowhead.com, mmochampion, and world of raids, and still not sure.
I'm curious if the shaman changes take effect, because I'll have to respec my twink.

Every time there's been a patch previously it would start installing if I tried to log on during the maintenance.
Nothing started installing today when I checked. I had heard the rumor about a new patch as well, and wanted to get it set up if that was the case. Apparently it is not.

I would expect, as usual, that any new patch will be on PTR for at least 2-4 weeks before going live. To my knowledge, 3.0.8 only hit PTR (at most) a week ago. I wouldn't expect to see it until the last week of December at the earliest.

no 3.0.8 today as the PTR just started, like just this week. theres no chance they are done with testing.
