What the muck? Whose good idea it was of this downranking system? Everywhere i go i see good questions and answers getting downranked and purged, a lot of misunderstanding happens due to this purge bull*!@#. Can't you just make it so that purging wont happen? It's completely unnecessary and lets thottbot retards troll here.

The comments are often ranked up based on their stand alone usefulness. A comment should be written in such a manner that it can be read alone and provide information useful to others as if it were the only comment in the article. Comments written as questions or discussions are most likely better off in the forums, even informative replies should include the original question in the statement so that it can then be useful stand alone and not rely on any previous comment/s.
