Oy, exotic pets... >.<; That's hurting your DPS right there. I love the rest of the spec, but Readiness is soooo much better than the BM talent for DPS. I would understand if you prefer to have an exotic pet out, but if you want to really tear up the meters, you're going to want a Cat, and you're going to want Readiness. Exotic pets just don't compare to Cats and Scorpids right now. (Spec your Cat
this way, one free point.) Your preferred pet may change with what buffs are available, though, but for heroics you generally don't need utter maximum DPS anyway; that's for 10 and 25 man content, where you're likely to have all the buffs you need to make a Cat or Scorpid your top choice.
Your major glyphs should be Steady Shot, Bestial Wrath, and either Serpent Sting or Aspect of the Viper (Viper is recommended for non-25 man raid-content). The Hunter's Mark glyph only provides 60 AP to marked targets; the Bestial Wrath glyph is
miles better, easily. And you definitely need a Feign Death minor glyph in there.
You should use Multi-Shot and Volley in pulls of size 3 or greater, excluding CC'd targets. You should always use your cooldowns, except perhaps on the last trash pull or two before a boss. If your party does not allow you to stop to drink, then use Viper more judiciously: groups that pull this way tend to AoE everything, so toss out a Multi and a Volley and Viper back up, as things will have died by that point. Try to use Viper during all downtime. You'll get to know instances better over time, so you'll get a better feel for when you should be using it and when not to. Just remember to always switch in before you're OOM, preferably when Quick Shots is on, and always switch out before you're full, and always try to end a boss fight at as close to zero mana as possible. Any more and you spent more time in Viper than you needed to.
1:) First paragraph is exactly as as you said. For glyphs however, i suggest Beastial wrath, Steady shot, and Aspect of the beast.
Why? Due to the bug right now, my kitty gets around 2700+ ap raid buffed, around 3200+ with rabid on. With an passive +40% dmg from talents and another 50% from bestial wrath, it does really, really sick damage. Been getting around 2200 crits from the cuddly kitty (dunno if it was a rake or claw, keep forgetting to check charts).
2:) From my meters, and due to the SEVERE output of volley, if there's even one extra mob, volley. Use a trinket, activate beastial wrath, and volley away. Tested actually putting a multishot before the volley, and it actually from what ive seen puts out the same damage from gcd+aiming time, so i just volley and save myself the mana.
