I'm sure we see a million of these a day hehe. I've just hit 72 in Northrend and have my Mining up to a decent level. My BS has been 235 for ages now. I had planned on leveling BS once I hit Northrend, but the cost of Mithril is absolutely ridiculous on my server now. Should I drop BS and grab Skinning until I hit 80? I figured another source of income wouldn't hurt and I could always get BS back up. Would dropping a skill I got to 235 be a waste?

Why not just farm the mith?
BS gives you extra gem slots, a couple BoE epic items for profit and I am sure there will be more soon. BS isn't a bad profession to have atm.
Then again, if you want to lvl fast and try and make money at the same time, skinning is by far the easiest to do both. You don't have to go out of your way to skin the mobs that are dead at your feet. Skin it, then on to the next mob/quest. You don't need to be a LWer to fix scraps anymore either, so no worries about that

I think I was just feeling a little discouraged about the farming. I know BS has some excellent bonuses now. I'm in no rush to level and have been making money off of Mining since my BS is at such a low level. So I guess a little grinding can't hurt.
