There's no law saying any religious organization has authority over or equal to the government, only laws explicitly saying there is separation of church and state. Americans in general are religious, but the country is still secular, and it always has been. As soon as religious organizations start controlling the government, then the US becomes just like countries such as Iran and Saudi Arabia.
Those are considered to be radical and dangerous states by western culture, and much of their instability stems from them being theocratic. Christian theocracy is no better than any other type of theocracy.

Edit: this is in response to a deleted Laihendi post about the first ammendment establishing a barrier between church and state.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Congress cannot establish religions.
Congress cannot prohibit the exercise of religion
Congress cannot abridge freedom of speech
Congress cannot abridge the press
Congress cannot abridge right to peacefully assemble
Congress cannot abridge right to petition
Where does it say that government cannot honor religions? Where does it say that government cannot utalize religions already made in it's practices?
Can't kids READ these days? Sorry, Laihendi. Careful study proves you to fail in your streeeeetch of an interperetation here. Care to try again?

Go ahead, it'll get most spammers and idiots away from the Randomness. Just cause it's Randomness, doesn't mean it won't contain random intelligent posts.

Art. 11.
As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion
; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquillity, of Mussulmen; and, as the said States never entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries.
US Treaty with Tripoli.

Without opinion? I'll try.
Socialism has to do with economics and government. Specifically, socialism is a system where the government controls the economy through direct means of ownership.

Closer. Christianity is not the foundation of our government true, but you cannot deny its huge role in government. This, again, is NOT a law that says there is a separation of church and state, which you said, before you deleted your statement, was CLEARLY layed out in law. I would love to see this law. I'm very sure it doesn't exist.

Elaborate, please!
If you believe expressing your opinion on it would give me more insight on it, please share.
