We all know Harrowmont is cooler, though.

Only until you get to the epilogue.

As a matter of fact, I rather liked the outcome of supporting Harrowmont and siding with Branka. Or maybe not
liked
, but I don't mind things not always turning out for the best - it makes for a more interesting experience.

Unfortunately, neither OverZ nor I are "down" with the "lingo".

Ya know, I'm starting to have a new surge of respect for Jo Wyatt (Voice-actress for Female Hawke in Dragon Age 2 and Female Agent on SWTOR)
I used to think of her as a simply ok actress, nothing fancy, nothing bad either. Till I played the agent.
She's a british actress with a fairly notorious (though not exaggerated) accent. Well, as part of the agent's storyline, she has to infiltrate the palace of a criminal overlord, and take the identity of a known pirate. She's instructed to "lose the accent" as they can't know she's imperial.
She does. This is actually harder than people think, I've tried HUNDREDS of times to speak english without my venezuelan accent and I just can't do it, much less imitate the accent of some other place while hiding mine at the same time. Our brains are rigged to use our native dialects and accents on a subconscious level, so, to mask our accent we must make a BIG effort every time we say a line.
She just reminded me of Alan Rickman who's also a british actor, and while his accent (And voice) are the living incarnation of awesomeness, he was able to pull of flawlessly a german and american accent on Diehard.
Man, voice-actors/actresses should really get more recognition than they have, its really a hard job, IMO, much harder than regular acting.

Power is out at my house. I had to drive half hour to town to use Wi Fi so I didn't lose my wowhead "sign in every day" achievement. Oh well. Got my chance to get some Chinese food.

I'm pretty sure most decent actors can change their accents. I mean, for the longest time I actually though Christian Bale was american.
I can't imagine how hard that must be =/ trust me when I say that I've tried, and I just flat-out cant (Then again I'm not an actor xD)
Not even in spanish. I live in the region of Zulia, and we got a particular accent that is different from elsewere in venezuela, such as Valencia or Caracas, and whenever I'm in another state, people automatically can tell I'm zulian due to my accent, and I just can't mask it, much less imitate a Valencian accent, or a Caracas accent.
Its not as easy as it seems.
Also EluraE, where was Christian Bale raised? because that also influences our accents a lot, if he wasn't born in the US, but has lived there for a long time, that could had gotten him to adopt that accent, or at least lose his own.

I change my accent all the time, comes easily to me. I guess it depends on what accent you had to begin with, and what language you speak.
He's from wales and he was raised in wales/england. In interviews he has a really deep welsh accent.
well, then my respect for him has also grown a lot :P
I dunno if its hard for everyone, or just for me, but I just can't mask my accent, or imitate others. =/ dunno why. Neither in english nor in spanish.

Win!
I'll use my phone at least once a day in case I'm away from work or my house for a long day. Mostly Saturdays and Sundays.

There's voice coaching for that. It's much easier to imitate someone's accent speaking your native language, I think, than to imitate an accent in a second language. There are half a dozen accents I think I do somewhat well in when speaking English, but I can't imagine trying to speak French with a specific accent, when I'm more worried about the grammar and remembering words I don't use much. Not that I speak French all that well, but you know what I mean.
PS, Rank- Did you find FemHawke in ME3? As soon as she started speaking, I was like "Yep, that's my Agent right there."

ugh, anyone knows of a good fan-site with info regarding the lore of SWTOR? kinda like a wowpedia for SWTOR; cuz I tried "SWTOR wiki" on google, and got 2 sites that are just lame, no quest info, no NPC info, barely any lore at all.
Torhead is great as a database to know stuff like NPC location, item drops, and so on, but its kinda lacking on the lore department.
Plus there's just not enough activity on the forums there. First page still has posts from december.
And I don't even wanna try the official SWTOR forums. The Whine-o-meter there is just as bad as Wow's official server. Experience has taught me that as far as MMO's goes, try to avoid official forums as much as you can, because sooner or later, almost every discussion turns uncivilized, and the chances of the term "Fanboy" being trown around is very high (Fanboy happens to be A VERY OFFENSIVE slur in my culture, I just hate that word, I never call anyone that word, and thus don't want anyone calling me that either. Its sorta the equivalent of the "N-word" on venezuela)

nope. Shocking as it may sound, I STILL haven't played ME3 U_U it hasn't arrived here.
I just watched a through playthrough on youtube. What can I say? I'm a very weak man T_T

Ouch Rank. No worries. If it makes you feel better, I'm at the last battle and have been playing Skyrim instead. I want to finish it, but I'm just on a Skyrim kick. Maybe this weekend. I just know the endings from Youtube.
And there aren't really any good SWTOR fan sites if you want to just browse. If you type in a specific quest or look for companion gift guides, then you'll find them, but if you're looking for items- good luck.

^ This. Especially for a voice actress, such as your example of Jo Wyatt, being able to change your voice is a key part of your job (oviously). My problem is that I think when I'm attempting accents I tend to... exaggerate them a bit. Some are easier to tone down than others, though.
I know, I'm not an actor. But still. I did drama!
