Oh hey Rank, I did a little tanking yesterday as a Brewmaster; wasn't bad heh, seemed easy to keep the aggro, but it was just in RFD.

What the hell does that even mean?
really/What the f***? (I think)
reddit.com/r/wtf
r-slash-anything is just referring to a subreddit of reddit.com, or occasionally imgur.com

r/wtf

It's a subreddit of Reddit.com
A subreddit is a topic-specific community created and maintained by the community and very rarely moderated by admins. All content is user created and driven and a common/noticeable feature of all of them is that they all feature the prefix "/r/" So when someone is talking about r/?, they are referencing that specific subreddit.
Topics can range from general hobbies like
r/gaming
or be even more concise such as
r/WoW
.
r/wtf is a popular and almost messed up subreddit featuring posts (threads) that stand true to the name and will make you go "WTF?"
That particular subreddit is kinda like a leaking 4chan sometimes.
Though subreddits are nice, they are a double-edged sword. Because any topic can be created and talked about, ANYTHING can be talked about. This has lead to some undesirable subreddits such as r/jailbait (which was banned due to news coverage) and even r/beatingwomen. The latter still sadly exists.
Edit: Jubilee beat me to it :(

r/wtf isn't always gross 4chan stuff. Sometimes it's innocuous but utterly incomprehensible out of context.

It might be supposed to be, but r/wtf gets a lot of that.
Now, r/NSFW-WTF which I just found IS pretty messed up.

I feel like Hatman is the assassin of Wowhead moderating. He doesn't just kill his prey. He stalks, it, studies its habits, sets up a death/moderation that will not only end them but disgrace their memory, and then displays the corpse of their self-proclaimed witty troll or righteous fury thread for all the peasants to point and laugh at.

Moderating is now officially a sport, I see.

Hunger Games meets Wowhead- I say we lock 24 mods in a thread and keep them there, posting memes and sarcasm at each other until one emerges victorious.

What was the second one? A necro?

That's not assassin, that's more vigilante justice. He's like the D'Artagnan of moderation.

The Batman of modding. You don't know he's got the bad guy until the bad guy splatters on the pavement and you see a caped silhouette fleeing the building he was just thrown off of.

I still prefer the D'Artagnan analogy, because it leaves room for MoD, asakawa and I to exist =P
