Made me lol
I found most of them (Minus the islam one) to be pretty funny.
Main reason I don't aprove of the one for the islam is because contrary to popular opinion, Muslim religion does NOT encourages violence, hostage-taking, terrorism, suicide-bombings, or any other form of extremism. That's a stereotyped clishe spread by hollywood since they can't come up with anything new and original.
By that same token, should all catholics be considered racists anti-blacks due to the KKK? (Which BTW is one of the oldest terrorist organizations in the world, far older than any islamic terrorist cell known). The actions of a minority don't define the main core of the majority.
Other than that small nitpick, yes, it was a funny pic.

I want to roll on an RP server.
Alliance on Moon Guard?
I just rolled a toon there to see if the rumors of Goldshire were true.. and I just walked into the inn. D:
Coming from a Medium pop, Normal server, this is just.. ... oh god my brain. D:
what has been seen cannot be unseen :P
WARNING: DON'T ATTEMPT THIS AT HOME KIDDOS. (Unless you want severe brain trauma).
Don't go to the goldshire inn on the Moonguard realm while using a female human priest.
Consequences and implications will be...........................unpleasant.
Oddly enough that was the class/gender/race that I picked. I didn't get anyone, uh, propositioning me, though. Maybe cause I picked white hair?
No-one wanted me! ): I don't feel pretty anymore.

thanks bro'.
Ya know, its funny how people keep confusing Avatar with an anime, despite the fact that its an american cartoon. Both made in the US, and made BY people of the US. Nothing japanese about it whatsoever (The definition of Anime is any animated cartoon either made in japan, or made by japanese people)
While I wholeheartedly agree, I once watched the credits for Avatar, while watching through them all. And.. I thought I saw a lot of Asian names. (Both Chinese and Japanese, I think, probably others but I wasn't paying -that- much attention).
So, although not made in Japan by a Japanese company, it had a lot of influence and input from the east.
Which was
awesome
, I loved seeing the Korean and Chinese tradition stuff.
But, yes, American.
yep, all of the universe in Avatar is influenced by just about every asian civilization you can think of (Fire nation is inspired by imperial china, Earth nation is based on a mix of chinese and japanese, Water tribe is based on Inuits, and Air nomads are based on tibetan monks.) Furthermore everything written in this show is authentic chinese (Unlike shyalaman's ROYAL PIECE OF CRAP, where all he used were meaningless scribbles made by a 5year old) and all the bending styles were inspired in real-life martial arts. (Again, unlike Shyalaman's piece of crap, where all the bendings were more like people having a stroke than actual martial arts)
Heck the show even used a guy called Sifu Kisu, one of the biggest martial arts champions in the world as a consultant to make sure it was as authentic as possible. So while the show had many asians working on it, its heavily inspired by a mix of almost all asian nations cultures and mythos, and all characters are of some asian descent, its still an american show. Thus can't be classified as an Anime.
Oddly enough that was the class/gender/race that I picked. I didn't get anyone, uh, propositioning me, though. Maybe cause I picked white hair?

You just dodged a bullet my friend xD, cuz when I went there, by pure dumb coincidence that's exactly what I used, a female, blond, human priest, and............ DAAAAAIUMMM! the kind of stuff well over 10 people wrote to me I've never seen elsewere (which is a good thing)

I wholeheartedly agree. But just like racist jokes, I can appreciate the humour without buying into the sentiment. The way I see it is that the rastafarianism was the punch-line anyway.

So much anti american snobbery in here. Besides, anime isn't defined as any animated cartoon either made in japan or made by japanese people. A japanese dude could draw a cartoon of mickey mouse drinking water and it wouldn't be anime, or a German dude living in Tennessee could draw in
the style of anime
, and it would be anime. Because, that's what anime is. It is a style. Snobs.

We're saying the show isn't anime but american, and that's anti-american snobbery? I'm not following.
Besides, anime isn't defined as any animated cartoon either made in japan or made by japanese people.
actually that's exactly what anime is.

And Avatar isn't drawn in anime style, have you even SEEN the show? it may have asian influences, but it has absolutely none of the common
Japanese Visual Arts
cues seen in anime shows.
Learn a little before trowing a critic. Just putting it out there.
By your definition, why isn't "My little Pony" considered anime? it has WAY MORE visual elements drawn from anime shows (Such as the big eyes, and typical anime facial expressions) than avatar does. However since it doesn't have any asian influences, none make the connection. Again dude, Avatar is an asian-based american cartoon that has nothing to do with anime.

And that my dear Anime hating MyTie is called Animesque; but it's not Anime by any stretch of the imagination, just as Disney cartoons produced in Japan aren't anime either;
newest version of Stitch!
as an example.

his entire post made no darn sence. We're saying that Avatar isn't an anime show, but rather an american cartoon (And also what happens to be THE BEST cartoon of this generation) and that somehow translates into Anti-american snobbery? like I said before, I'm not following.

Everything is anti-American to MyTie; Spirited Away, despite being set in the Japanese countryside and being done at a Bath House for Japanese spirits, is so obviously about Americans being fat couch potatoes because the parents turned into pigs after eating the food of the Spirits.....Riiiiiiiight.

Click the link
. Because... the more you know...
And in case you don't know how to use your mouse: anime refers to a style of animation originating in JapanSee there.. It's a
style
, not a location. Think about it. Japaneese dude draws half a cartoon in Japan, then mails it to a German in Tennessee who knows that exact style, who flawlessly finishes the cartoon. The viewer can tell no difference. Is it only half anime?I didn't think I was being anti-american at all.. I married an american. Nothing against them at all.It comes across as being pretty anti american. Maybe I'm just callous because I'm used to seeing it everywhere. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, though.
Oh, and the most anti American group of people are Americans. They think it makes them cultural to hate themselves. I don't really get it, but I see it often.Everything is anti-American to MyTie; Spirited Away, despite being set in the Japanese countryside and being done at a Bath House for Japanese spirits, is so obviously about Americans being fat couch potatoes because the parents turned into pigs after eating the food of the Spirits.....Riiiiiiiight.There does seem to be a lot of anti american sentiment lately. While it's a style MyTie, doesn't make anything that has large eyes and no noses Anime.
Edit: There does seem to be a lot of anti american sentiment lately. Do you deny it?I don't deny it; but since you know, the movie isn't set in American, and doesn't have American characters, I don't really see how it can be Anti-American; I mean sure if you really want to see it that way, no one can stop you....but that doesn't mean it's the right way.

You're asking me? Dude, I'm not an expert on anime, but I do know it is a style, not a location in which cartoons are drawn. That much I understand.

Hence why the term animesque has been cropping up more and more: that style mimics things from Anime, but it isn't such: Animesque shows: Ben 10 and it's other versions, Avatar, Code Lyoko, Samurai Jack(to a point)....hell, most of what Cartoon Network and Nick shows are such.

Again, we're saying that Avatar isn't anime but an american cartoon, and one of the BEST cartoons on this generation, care to elaborate how the heck does that translates as anti-american?
See there.. It's a style, not a location. Think about it. Japaneese dude draws half a cartoon in Japan, then mails it to a German in Tennessee who knows that exact style, who flawlessly finishes the cartoon. The viewer can tell no difference. Is it only half anime?
and like we've told you, that STYLE isn't used in Avatar, thus its not anime. Again, have you SEEN the show?
