I don't think I watched the cartoon, ever.
I started to rewatch it recently. I used to watch it when i was younger on Saturday mornings. The first 4-5 episodes are kinda hard to get into, because its more about the young boy becoming batman, but after that, when they start getting into the single episodes stories, its really really good.

I'm gonna cry and throw a tantrum if no one plays LoL with me.
I was looking at it slightly, seemed confusing. Most new games do that too me. I like to stay where I'm comfortable. :P

I recently tried to watch some of the cartoons I watched as a kid and could
not
stop laughing at how ridiculous most of them were. Captain Planet and the original Power Rangers to be more specific.
Also, I love all of you. Just so you know.

Captain Planet
I watched this as a kid, and watched it again as an adult and was pretty politically/religiously irritated by it.

It's clear to me, if it wasn't already, that you and I are very different people. lol - I don't recall connecting religion or politics to that show at all. As an adult or adolescent. That's not to say there isn't a connection between those things, I just don't think I actively look for that kind of thing.(##RESPBREAK##)8##DELIM##sas148##DELIM##

The first episode has the American kid set fire to the inside of their jet, and one of the other kids rolls their eyes and is like "stupid yankee". He seems to be nothing but an American pin cushion that represented an uncultured American stereotype. The constant portrayal of businesses as nothing but garbage/slime dumping pigs is also more than a little bothersome. Finally, gaia, the spiritual portrayal of the Earth is a bit over the top, religiously. I wouldn't let me kids watch that stuff. I think that a lot of people that grew up with that sort of stuff got their opinions as adults from propaganda like that.

I still love Power Rangers even now.
Batman Beyond was an amazing show...it's just kind of sad that the Finale of Justice League Unlimited did what they did; not horrible sad, but kind of meh sad after the amazing two part episode that aired before that.

WHY
:(
Oh my god. I can't believe it. I used an item that randomly uses most other item effects, and got one that enables flight. I'm still pissed though.

I very much prefer the dark and gritty batman than the campy adam west-like batman.
I don't like it when superhero action flicks try to include comedy, or worst, try to include over-the-top hamminess like Batman&Robin did. (FFS a bat-credit card? SERIOUSLY? >_>)
All in all, I love the Nolan version of batman, is every bit as awesome as the Videogame "Batman: Arkham asylum" and its sequel, Arkham city.
I can't wait to see it (Specially since it will have THE REAL Bane, as opossed to that dumb brick called "bane" (lowercase is entirely justified) that showed up on the shumacher movie.
Considering that Batman is one of my favorite superheroes of all the times (Along with Judge Dredd and The Punisher) my eagerness to see the movie is understandable. But I'll have to wait a little bit to watch it. Its gonna take too long to be released in dvd, and on cinemas............. well on opening week each ticket costs 200.000 bolivares. PER PERSON. Screw that. I'll wait.
Edit
And for fun, here's this little
chart
of the different batmans.
Try and guess which one I loathe with a passion, and which one I love.

Why not let children watch these things, have a conversation about it, and allow them to make their own decisions? I've never understood this concept of isolating children from anything we don't agree with. I for one will ensure my children get to see a great deal of perspectives so that they are well rounded individuals who can make their own opinions and choices regarding their religious beliefs or political leanings or anything else of that nature. Whenever possible that's what I plan to do. :)
