Hey HiVolt. I don't really feel welcome in that thread right now, so I sent you an email explaining things. Hope that helps!
I'm sorry you feel that way, man. I'll miss having you around the debates. Magician, too. I hope that you both decide to come back to them eventually, because if you don't, I feel like things are going to get even more stale than they already are.
You guys keep me on my toes in those threads, and I'll definitely miss that.

Why the Ashelia or Perculia or the mods don't lock the
Wowhead's AMD Processor Giveaway
? I still see folks posting their favorite part of Pandaria.
I'd say you could submit an email to feedback requesting it be locked if you'd like. The moderators don't typically lock/moderate the blog posts made by the administration. In fact, I'm pretty sure we can't.

I wouldn't mind seeing an avatar: TLA mod for minecraft. Maybe even have someone map out the four nations. Be pretty fun to go around the air temples and other major places.

I'm personally getting a bit fed up with the constant direct insults for myself and the rest of the moderation team MyTie. If you don't like how this site is managed, stop visiting. There was a time. You should remember it, even though you joined this site a little less than two years after me. Nevertheless, there was a time, when questioning users, or even, gasp, moderators, wasn't so taboo. When calling moderator action "bullying" wouldn't result in a post getting deleted. That's irony right there. There was a time when a moderator needed a thorough and vetted reason to delete someone's post. The users of wowhead simply wouldn't stand for moderators deleting a post unnecessarily. Moderation was careful, measured, and self aware. Users were treated as though they were the customer, and the community was theirs to shape as they wanted. Sure, you couldn't post racial slurs, physical threats, or pornography. There was a time when a moderator wouldn't tell a person "if they didn't like it, leave", or they would no longer be members of the moderator team. The moderator team acted in good faith, with great respect, and with humility. The power to remove a person's words wasn't taken lightly.
That time is gone. I can remember Laihendi, TheMediator, and dragon2041, all tearing me apart in a debate, immediately turning on a moderator became over zealous (no offense OZ), in moderating me. Those people aren't here anymore. For one reason or another, and in some cases due to the moderation itself, people are gone. There are a few stragglers, but for the most part, the forum is empty. Even if it isn't empty, it is a shell of its former self (to resort to cliches). You'll find scant community here. If it had been, it wouldn't let you push me around, nor anyone else. It wouldn't have let you tell me to like it or leave. In fact, questioning of moderation style was encouraged. Certainly saying that moderators were "bullying" wouldn't be called "constant direct insult", as if I had been launching barrages of insults ceaselessly for day (I haven't).
You have got the green text. You have got the power. You hold all the keys to all the gates. You can delete my posts, warn me, and even ban me, and apparently with little second thoughts from any sort of administration, and without much complaining from the remainder of the community. You need to think if that power should be used with such little refrain. I've been here for 4 years now. I've posted over 14 thousand posts here, mainly to off topic itself. I've seen more than a dozen moderators here. I know what a bully is. Telling me that it's your way, or get out, is bullying. Now, I can't do anything to you. I am simply a poster. If my posts are really so threatening, simply perma-ban me. I promise your superiors won't mind. The members of the community won't say much, and some will probably celebrate the decision. At the end of the day, you're still a bully. I don't say all that to look for a fight. I simply am not the kind of personality that accepts intimidation, without pointing out that it is in fact intimidation.

I was going for Bruce Willis from Lucky # Sleven. Cartman? You think?
Edit: In completely unrelated interests: Saints Row the Third is missing talk radio. One of the expansions of GTA had this talk radio show called "Integrity 2.0" with this DJ named Lazlo. I'd laugh every single moment of that show. Arguably the only part of GTA better than Saints Row.

Saints Row the Third, however, has Holding out for a hero, It's my life, No easy way out, Return of the Mack and You're the best. I could listen to that 80's-90's radio all the friggin time. There is not a single part of the game that wouldn't fit in flawlessly with them oldies.
The oldies radio stations in GTA4 and Sleeping Dogs feel kinda lackluster.
The only thing I really miss in SR3's radio is
The final countdown
, which was in SR2.

I only listen to the classical music. I find it's really hilarious to drive around on sidewalks while listening to stuff like Requiem in D Minor. That entire game is comedic gold.

The RB isn't a place where serious discussion of moderation can take place. I'm going to try and word this as a statement and I invite people to contact if they want to give a opinion rather than reply here.
The moderation team actually spend a lot of their time (this time has a value and they give it for free) thinking about decisions before they act. Very often, for more difficult reports, we'll discuss things for a long time over IM to decide the best course of action. We place a very high priority on being measured and thoughtful.
We have policies that we stick to and give explanations for actions we take. If you feel those policies are too strict or have any other opinion on them then contacting is a good way to go about sharing your opinion on them.
Some of the early warnings sent when I became a moderator were for some atrocious, disgusting and very inappropriate things. We have to moderate that level of post far less now and I see that as a positive change.
MyTie mentions "community" but he sees community in a very particular way which I interpret as meaning people arguing (or occasionally debating) things. That's certainly one level on which community can exist but it doesn't recognise the large number of people who do not want to use a forum that has the level of freedom that allows those sorts of posts. Even at the point where we have drawn the line people still find OT too combative and nasty and walk away from it entirely. The forum isn't just for one person or even a specific group, it's for a wide spectrum of people. We recognise that and we need others to recognise it too so we can all get along.
Don't be insulting and don't derail a discussion with your own agenda and you likely won't have an issue with the moderation team.
When you have been the subject of moderation it's actually quite likely that you will disagree with it but remember that the scope of what we have to think about is rather wider than any individual. We want to make a place where people
can
debate serious issues and where much lighter discussions can also take place without anyone feeling like an entire forum is toxic.(##RESPBREAK##)16##DELIM##asakawa##DELIM##

my project
I tried to hold out and not ask, but it's no use. I must know. What project? Is it paper mache? caligraphy? gardening? dress making? learning German? memorizing a sonnet? sharp shooting championship? pin the tail on the donkey?
Edit: Also, before I forget, I would like everyone to update
this thread
, if able. I think it's a really good way we can put more positive focus on our community, for newcomers and old timers alike.

Well considering I was obviously relating it to the discussion... It honestly seems like you're being sarcastic.

Your project? Related to the discussion? I don't get it. You give me too much credit, Interest. I'm not nearly that insightful. I honestly, still, have no idea what your project is.
