Elura, some are concerned, some are not. You aren't the spokesperson for South Korea.
Here
's an article presenting some opposing viewpoints on the issue, so stop making it out like everyone in that country agrees with you, and the media are just being dumb.

The media are being dumb when they hurt more than just report. Like when CNN reported on that rape case and basically victimblamed all victims. So stop making it out like media doesn't have a big part in things.
Could you give me an example of a major media outlet blowing this out of proportion? I realize that is subjective, but I have a hard time imagining that anyone could come to the conclusion that a nuclear capable country saying "we have authorized a pre emptive nuclear attack", could be blown out of proportion, as if this is some rape/victim blame case.

All media reporting on everything happening like it's the end of the world? Covering everyone every step they are taking is making people scared when they have no reason to be scared. If it was south koreans acting out of fear, I'd get it. But people online in America? How about.. no.
If you have friends or family in south korea and are worried, of course you are, but then you are hardly sitting around calling for nuclear war, are you?
I don't get why you get so defensive. If you're not one of the racist jerks getting riled up then you're not getting attacked. So much wrong with this post.
1) There is reason to be concerned. The ongoings of North Korea are newsworthy. Therefore, the printing of North Korea movements, such as their movement of a medium range Soviet missile to their eastern seaboard, across the water from Japan, is newsworthy.
2) Americans are at risk. I think you are just completely ignorant of the complexity, and danger of the situation. North Korea is allied with China, who has moved aircraft to support NK. Russia is allied with China. Iran is allied with NK. The US is allied with Israel. Most western European countries (Sweden included) are allied with the US. When NK acts idiotic, and threatens war, no matter how small of a chance they will act, that chance threatens the entire world with thermo nuclear winter. To say that this only affects South Koreans? You have to be trolling... seriously. No one is that uneducated.
3) To be concerned with points 1 and 2 do not require a desire for nuclear war.
4) I don't even know how to address the "racism" accusation in your post. I seriously have no idea what racism has to do with this, at all.
Also from now on I'm gonna look at icons before reading posts so I can ignore people.Although it is your choice, I wish you'd rethink this. I'm really really curious how racism ties into this.

This is what racism has to do with it.
Some tumblr comments? Oh. I thought you were talking about something that mattered.

Some tumblr comments? First of, it's twitter, not relevant. Second, those are only 4, out of thousands. And you think it doesn't matter? You really think their riled up racism mixed with fear doesn't make them even more of an idiot? A lot of the other similar ones were threatening all asians, close to them.
So yeah, downplaying it has a reason. I've been saying this the entire @#$%ing time, but you're incapable of reading.
I'm done with you.
... I thought we were talking about American news outlets. I do not understand what racists on twitter have to do with that. I'm not downplaying it. It's just not related. I'm not racist against Koreans. The news outlets aren't printing what they print because they are racist. So, what do these people have to do with it? I don't get it, Elura.
You can always find idiots on ever side of any discussion. That doesn't make their side wrong, it just makes them wrong. So, what about the media itself, not racist people on twitter, makes them wrong in their reporting of North Korea. Are the actions of North Korea's military not newsworthy?

you'll think you "won"
I'm not trying to win. I'm just trying to understand what you are talking about, because it seems very disjointed, and the individual pieces don't seem to be rooted in logic.I don't want to respond to it because I'm angry and pissed off and murder is illegal.
This isn't cool, nor funny. I've done nothing to call a desire to end my life. So I disagree with you on what is news worthy. Acting this way causes you to "lose", and there are no winners. You just look really awful.
You should do what I do. Go crochet for a while. I'm working on my wife's birthday present: a white doily with crocheted roses on it.

MyTie please when you see some one agry please don't make that person even angryer... I never thought of saying of this but you need to learn when to stop.
I will not be held responsible for other people's anger. I haven't broken any rules, nor am I insulting her, or anything. I will not be intimidated out of speaking my opinions simply because it makes other people angry. If a discussion about news outlets leads you to anger, then the problem is with you,
not
me.These don't seem to be the most stable of people...
Are you talking about NKorea, or the RB?
Edit: After some thought, I think that the RB sort of is like NKorea, only with rainbows.
