Tea tastes like boiled bread.
I guess I have to taste boiled bread now at least once in my life.
Also hey, EluraE. Nice to see you around.

So I started learning Javascript using Codeacademy today.
I finally found something that I understand.
I
get
it.
This is amazing, and exhilarating.

That's awesome. It's a great feeling when you actually begin to understand the core concepts of computer code. It's opens so much up. And plus if you can understand a hodgepodge (at times, just plain bad) language like Javascript, you can learn anything ;)
Also, f you ever ever have a question you can't answer on your own, feel free to shoot it my way. I do it for a living, so I'm always happy to help. And if there is one thing that helped me the most when I was learning, it was being able to talk problems through with someone else.

Yeah I know JS is terrible but C# isn't on Codeacademy for some reason, and I've been meaning to learn JS a lot recently, mostly for Minecraft mods.
I snagged a coupon for a
free Unity course
on
Udemy.com
which is where my desire to learn C# stemmed from, but I've gone through that already and haven't learned too much about the language, and, like I said, CA doesn't have C#. The lecturer says that UnityScript is similar to Javascript which also added to why I picked that to learn.
Also, thanks for the offer, I'll most likely take you up on that often.

The main difference between UnityScript and JS is the addition of "classes" in UnityScript. Classes are a pretty core programming concept (and somewhat difficult for some people to grasp), but JS isn't implemented with them. Other than that, it's mostly just small syntax differences that can be little annoyances, but usually not much more than that.
I personally prefer Boo for Unity scripting, but that is because I do a lot of stuff with Python (a very near cousin of Boo), but it's the least popular choice overall so you won't find many resources to help you with that. C# is definitely the generally preferred language for Unity scripting because it's the most versatile and gives you the most control, but JS/UnityScript is a close second just due to its ease.

The final few weeks of school is always so much work :/
Just two more projects left and I can vegetate in front of my TV, play Nazi zombies and watch the entire series of Monk on Netflix for the next month until my summer session starts.
