any serious tank knows that you will never be starved for rage in a raid unless your doing somthing horribly wrong like not auto attacking.Your auto-attack isn't going to give you any rage if you maul each of them. If you can't maul every time because you need white attacks in order to gain rage for the mangles/lacerates, then you are rage starved.
(though it might still be enough rage to keep agro easily)
50% dodge still will give you more then enough rage on any target. and get you to not take 1/2 the damage you would normaly.
overall you have the choice of being able to take a few more hits or dodgeing some of those hits so you dont have to. i think you all know what the better choice is here. The problem with that is that you WILL end up getting 2 or more crushing blows in a row in the long run. Even with 75% dodge it'd happen.
As a tank who has no means of controlling the damage spikes he is subjected too (no shield block/holy shield), you shouldn't be relying on luck to get you through that, which is why having the necessary health buffer should be a high priority for any tank.

Personally, I've found the NE nature resistance to be hugely helpful in resisting poison damage and nature spells. I like the added mitigation that it gives when Mark of the Wild is up.
Plus, I plan on doing stealth runs, and the added stealth will certainly help out a great deal. One level of stealth is nothing to scoff it in pve or pvp.
I'm sure that Taurens make better tanks with there HP (however, with the recent nerfs on Human and Dwarves, I suggest it wont be long till Taurens take a hit too). Fortunately, I like playing a kitty cat.

Back to the topic...
Make up your mind on Alliance v Horde, and how they look. I'm a Tauren Druid, and I love being able to be a friggin massive bear, but cats with horns just aren't my thing. If I could be a Tauren bear with a Night Elf cat form I would :P.

Regarding more experienced players choosing horde may be true - newbies are attracted to the "more beautiful" alliance but the oldies that have played the warcraft series know the horde are actually the heros. (we love you Thrall!!!)
regarding levelling areas, i love mulgore, but have to admit the barrens scenery kinda looks dreading. when you play the hell quests there are in the alliance however (the thresher's eyes in darkshore and the bloody sleeping druid or something in aldrassil were 20 players are looking for a single drop and no one thinks of grouping to find it! - selfish bastards!) then yes, the barrens wins it for me!
the NE catform does look nicer which is probably why i wanted the NE in the first place, but now that i realise what the +5% health amounts to in endgame (i'm still level 48 so don't know how it ends up) then yes! glad my main's a tauren!
thanks guys
xXx
on a different note... aren't u #$%^ed that they patched the entangle roots to hit only one enemy? now i suck at multiple adds what other kiting systems are there? or ways to handle multiple mobs? (note i'm cat feral) warstomp+heal can only be done once in a fight due to cooldown...
... probably would have loved a draenei druid... y the hell are they in alliance anyway?

Barkskin heal, hibernate, root, cyclone heal once you're at the level, ...
No permanent cc appart from root and hibernate, but there are several ways of easing the pressure in order to get a heal in.
Or just try to run away.
