Highest DPS i would say. But druids are great AoE tanks as well.

Bleh... druid suck at AoE tanking. Mainly druids are HP tanks or situational. Not saying to stack spam or anything but in fights like patchwork druids are great for being hateful tanks. Another good example would be Resistance fights. Since Druids don't need defense, they are able to put on resist armor easily without sacrificing to much dodge (which is often made up for in Stam) and can tank it very well.

The main specialty of Druid tanks though I'd say is the ability to easy switch to DPS if a fight doesn't require an addition tank. Druids are great for OTing in raids.

Druids are ok at aoe tanking. I find we run into trouble on fights where adds spawn randomly, and all over the place. If 3 spawn behind me I have to turn around, target one and swipe, and if the one I target is just slightly out of range I can't attack. I can see Blizzard fixing this to make swipe so that it just swung and you didn't have to have anybody targeted like pallies. But I do enjoy the challenge of actually having to pay attention so I kinda hope they don't.

Druids can main tank or off tank, and aoe tank mobs, just as well as any other tanking class (well not sure how DK do for MT as I haven't had a chance to run with one, they all seem to be dps). But I'd say pallies are still the best aoe.

Druids are great tanks imo. We do have a few kinks to be worked out by way of how we actually work, but right now we are indeed keeping up with the other tanks ok, especially because a lot of druid tanks are also very good tanks, and they have had to deal with no AoE abilities for a long time so most of us have just sucked it in and carried on with what we have.

I can't wait to see how much better we all get with the couple of changes they have got coming in the next patch! I think our armor will be about the same with the new addition to Survival Of The Fittest, 66% or something no? And Protector Of The Pack has been changed so we can solo (more) mobs again :) Not that we weren't soloing 8-10 already, but imagine running about with up to 15! Good times hehehe.
