DW and Blood-Caked Blade

I heard about that Blood-Caked Blade was alway using main hand to do damage, even if it is the offhand that proc it.
Anybody with this talent can confirm it? (equip w/e 1hand you have in main hand + a vendor lvl 1 weapon in offhand and fight something and check if you get any very low Blood-Caked Blade damage).
