Stoneform
has saved my butt in the battlegrounds and in the environment (PVP server) a thousand times. Go with a gorilla to level and never look at another pet until 80. I never tried a carrion bird. I would not buy stable slots and save your money until 80.

Shadowmeld is not as useful as it once was. It has a longer cool down, which makes it less useful for PVP when I have to choose between setting another trap or being seen, that's a dilemma I'd rather not have. Plus, I was able to eat and drink and then use shadowmeld that was very cool, but alas no more.
I personally wouldn't want to look at a Dwarf's behind for 80 levels...
