Effective Buff Bot?
Return to board index
I currently have a 48 druid, and continuing to level him, but I was interested in playing a pally or warrior. My question is, if playing on an alternate account, if i have my druid "follow" my pally/warr, out of group, and just stat buff and thorn, with an occassional heal to avoid downtime.... will my leveling be more effective for the pally/warr?
Basically, does the Druid Stat buff make a huge difference in soloing to 40?

Thanks Shoggy, thats exactly what I wanted to hear.
I do the heal/buff thing on two accounts with a druid and rogue, I personally find it's well worth it. Not only can I heal the other character, I have easy access to two gathering tradeskills (herbalism and mining in this particular case), and I can essentially party-play more difficult quests with myself with little risk of anyone dying, especially since the druid has combat ress and the rogue is goblin engineer.
I can also add a spot of druid caster DPS to the fight as well which definitely helps to make the mobs go down faster. Of course, my characters are relatively close together in level (52 and 56 right now), so there's no appreciable experience penalty involved.
It's also a slight deterrent to ganking, though a serious ganker tend to see though my little sham, or simply crowd-control one of my chars and try to kill the other...
If you feel it's worth the extra 13 euros/month then you should try it. :) It makes solo play a breeze (except when you have to do an annoying gathering quest with lousy droprate on TWO guys instead of just one... :-P)
