Enchanting guide?

Hey is there any enchanting guide posted here cos i cant find one. Cos if there isnt i think i can make one without even buying any items - a gold free guide

you can level ANY profession without spending money.

The question is, how long will it take to get all the mats vs buying things. I just went from 1-575 tailoring and enchanting in about 12 hours (or so) of play time. It was painful, but I only spent about 3K on it.

If I'd had to spend even MORE time in instances and such for cloth and dust? I'd have cried.

(Oh, and regardless: you're buying a copper rod, you're buying vellum, and not to mention the hundreds and hundreds of gold you spend on training at the vendor. FYI.)

Lol guess thats true forgot about the trainning issue, but still... anyway ill finish and upload the guide cos when i did was when i was "free". Maybe someone will find it usefull :D

While it's always nice to not having to spend hard earned money to shop mats, you should not try to minimize the cost in gold but rather try to minimize the cost in time. If you are low on gold and low on mats, then you need to consider whether to grind the gold to shop mats or to grind the mats directly. If the time it takes for you to gather the mats is longer than the time it takes for you to generate gold through other means, then it's not worth spending the time on grinding mats; it will instead be more useful to spend the time grinding gold and shopping the mats.

What I mean is: unless you find a sugar-daddy that donates gold/mats to you, then you will need to pay in some kind of way. Consider the following example (the numbers are just made up):
* The total cost for the mats you need would be 3k on the AH
* It takes you 4h to gather the mats yourself (and you get 500g in total from trash)
* You are able to earn 1k gold/h through whichever means you choose to get gold.
From this simple example you would notice that you would earn a whole hour from not gathering the mats and this hour could then be spent on fun stuff or on more gold grinding. If you spend the earned hour on getting more gold, then you would effectively train your enchanting for free as well as earning 500 gold more than what you would get from the trash in the dungeon runs.

If you establish that the best way for you is to grind the mats yourself, then do so; but do make a serious assessment of what you actually pay when you don't spend gold.

Regarding a guide, I would recommend www(dot)wow-professions(dot)com/wowguides/wow-enchanting-guide.html. It's not the cheapest guide there is, but it's a rather efficient one (and it has a guide for enchanting skill 1-110 for almost no gold if you click the links from the main 1-600 skill guide)
