"I know," she whispered, swallowing. Ailya's determined expression before she left on her forward charge still burned bright. That was the last time she had seen her sister. "Come, you should probably get started, and I have to organize those scouts."
Naia looked back at Turin, "Finally! We've got a chance to do actually
do
something," all though her expression dulled somewhat watching her brother's solemn face.

"Of course," Lisciel replied quietly, kissing Tyreal briefly before heading for his makeshift study.
"If the Blood Lord were alive we wouldn't be trapped here," Turin uttered. "But he died like he always knew he would - defending us. I won't let him - and you all - down, I promise."

Tyreal followed after him for a while, until she split to head towards the base of operations in the Undercity now-a-days. It was located in a tavern situated under the bank, easily located from every wing. She tapped her fingers against the counter when she entered, getting the attention of the bartender.
"I want our best scouts notified to report to my husbands study, he's got orders from them," she said quietly, and the man nodded.
Naia frowned at her brother, "You aren't, Turin. You're doing the best you can."

"We're all doing the best we can, sister. And it's still not enough," Turinhil scowled, slamming his fist into a wall and suppressing a hiss of pain. "But I won't give up. Not in this lifetime.
I fear for Ma and Pa. They're taking it harder than we do."
Lisciel rubbed his temples, speaking into a large crystal ball, "Scryers, scan our surroundings. Report if you spot something salvageable. Five-minute availability."
He then picked up a tong and a caliper and began working.

Tyreal departed from the tavern after grabbing a drink, downing it while she walked. While they're food and other supplies were dwindling, they had enough ale to support the whole of Ironforge. It was sickening, and she would traded all of it in order to keep everyone here alive.
Naia frowned at Turin, "They're doing all they can for everyone, it's what they've always done. They're duty, and we've got to do our ours."

"Don't get me wrong, I've never respected anyone more than them and the Blood Lord," Turin sighed, "But I feel like they're overexerting themselves."
They neared the fragment of the slums that sheltered them for now.
Only three papers arrived to Lisciel, who was at the moment finishing yet another beacon. He bit back a curse, waiting impatiently for the scouts.

Characters
: Funden Orebeard, Khaz Stumpfoot, Thorgrim, Fjarn - Stormcross
Location
: Ironforge
Description
:
Stormcross is a mercenary group of Ironforge dwarves, each with their own specialization. They travel around the world, though most of their actions are centered in the Eastern Kingdoms. Ever since the fall, they've been working ceaselessly against the Old Gods, keeping the Blasted Lands safe to evacuate to Outland. They were forced out, however, and returned to Ironforge.
The members consist of the following:
Funden Orebeard: A dwarf with long brown hair, partly drawn back into a ponytail, and a short brown beard, Funden is the sharpshooter of the group. He has a semiautomatic rifle, with a scope and bayonet. He's the leader of Stormcross.
Khaz Stumpfoot: He has short brown hair and a brown beard, which is braided. He functions as the second in command of the group. He wears fine leather and mail armor, along with a well-made sword. However, underneath his foppish exterior lies a hardened soldier and one of the finest swordsmen in Ironforge.
Thorgrim has blonde hair and a blonde beard, which runs slightly wild. He's the demolitions expert, and wields a rifle that fires exploding bullets.
Fjarn is a former Knight of the Silver Hand. He quit the order after an unknown disagreement. He kept his Silver Hammer, though now he wields a gatling gun which fires consecrated bullets which harm undead and demons particularly, and can also tear apart low level enchantments.
Funden spotted the Mortality of the Phoenix, another mercenary group in Ironforge, and nodded respectfully. He fell into step next to a draenei, their leader, if he remembered correctly. "Ye heard th' news, then?" he asked.

Graveyard Crew
Tirisfal Glades
Old God forces surrounded the sewers' entrance, growing thicker closer to the massive cave-like hole.
Phillip and Olet sat on the front of the catapult, ready to provide ranged support. Alexandros raised his hand, Staira and Evora at his sides with their own weapons drawn. "On my signal, Roger!" He said, waiting for the enemies to group up more.
As many continued to assault the barricade, more slowly progressed towards it, hoping to add their own strength.
"NOW!" Alex shouted, throwing his hand forward and drawing his axe. A springing sound echoed as the arm flew forward over Phillip and Olet's heads. The large can of blight sailed through the air, smashing into a faceless one's back and exploding into green mist that quickly began to dissever the grouping around the barricade.
The three on foot rushed forward, slicing down any mindless who tried to charge as the catapult began to move forward again behind them. Olet began to load another canister. "We're gonna need a portal!" Roger shouted to Phillip.
"I've got it..." The mage replied, beginning to weave a hole into the sewers.

Naia sighed, "Maybe. But they say they need to do everything they can, I don't think they can do anything less."
She looked around, popping into the small corner she called her room as she gathered up her rucksack and began stuffing things into it.
A sharp knock came out Lisciel's study's door.
Tyreal scowled, commanding off idle soldiers to stand guard at the sealed sewer entrance, and continued on her patrol.

"Enter," Lisciel spun around, scooping up the beacons and the reports.
Turinhil gathered quickly, picking up two satchels that he attached to his hips - they were both spacious and did not encumber his movements. He stuffed some other items in the hollows between the plates of his armor and bobbed several times, checking that he could move like normal.

"That should be everything," Naia murmured under her breath, closing the satchel and swinging it over her shoulder. She pressed her fingers to the knife sheath on her belt and nodded. "I'm ready to go back, Turin."
The door opened, making way for five of the best scouts located in the Undercity. Leading them, a sauntering blood elf in dark violet leathers, "Looks like you called for us," he said, lowering the cigarette from his lips and smirking, flicking a blonde bang out of his face of his messy foxtail hairstyle.
"We had another group of tentacles bursting from the north elevator," a Forsaken handed her a report, filled with numbers and the latest attacks on their defenses. "We barely kept them in check."
"I don't want to have close that section of the city off. Not like what we did with the Royal Quarter," muttered Tyreal, shaking off the remembrance of the Faceless breaking through, and having the plague the whole section. There hadn't been just enemies there.
She scowled, waving him off as she headed back to Lisciel's study.

Lisciel paused, choosing between the three, then picked one of the reports at random and handed five beacons - each looking like a simple locket on a brass chain - over.
"I'll weave a portal for you into a relatively blight-free place. Salvage what you can and return using these. Don't procrastinate longer than it's necessary, and try to see if another party can be sent immediately afterwards. The portal will close behind you - that and the fact that you have beacons makes you able to pick your returning point. Any questions?"
Turinhil nodded, double-checking his first aid kit was on him before heading outside. Words were not needed.

Turinhil froze in the doorway of his father's study, watching Lisciel usher the last of the scouts through and close the portal. He stared at his father, then slowly turned to see Tyreal approaching them. His eyes began twitching and his fists clenched tightly.

Tyreal glanced at the twins, raising a brow at Turin before catching a glimpse of the scouts leaving through the portal, "Wait! Zyrith?" she exclaimed, shoving the door open.
The blood elf glanced back at Tyreal and whistled, "Guess that's my cue to go," he tipped his head to Lisciel and stepped through the portal.
"When in the five fels did he become a
scout
? Or get here!" Tyreal said, jaw hung open in disbelief.
Naia stood behind Turin blinking.

Lisciel blinked tiredly, "I haven't recognized him... Must be something Kareth did to him as a punishment," he told Tyreal.

Tyreal squatted down next to Turin and gave him a level expression, "I might loathe him, and you might think of yourself as the next big-shot Blood Lord, but I'm not taking that kind of mouth or attitude from you, Turinhil Dawnchaser. I
am
still your mother, unless you've somehow forgotten that."
It was Naia's turn for her jaw to drop.

"As if I could, Knight-Commander," Turin said coldly, pressing his fist against his chest and bowing his head in a mocking salute.
"What shall our next assignment be? Wiping the floor? Setting up Winter's Veil decoration? I'm awaiting eagerly for a task."
"Turin," Lisciel spoke tiredly, "Don't make this anymore complicated. Please. Your mother and I-"
"Have already complicated it far more than I could ever hope to, Magister," Turin spat.

Tyreal grit her teeth, standing up, "You want to go out there and die? We're trying to help keep you alive, Turin. We failed to keep your brother safe, and we're not losing either of you the same way! But do you want to do that? Then, fine."
She turned to Lisciel, "Make the portal," she scowled.
"Mo--" Naia started, and Tyreal raised a hand, cutting her off.
"Do it," Tyreal restated.
