Cenarion War Hippogryph or Netherdrake for level 70 stuff, no idea about 80 though, many prob haven't been found/widely known.

Nether Drake's are from Shadowmoon Valley, on Netherwing Ledge. You need to get
Exalted
with the Netherwing in order to buy a Netherdrake.
Cenarion Wary Gippogryph is the same thing, just with the Cenarion Expidition (either Expedition or the Circle, not sure) and they found all over, mainly in like Zangarmarsh, etc.

Depends how you define best looking though. Some people like the netherdrakes, because they look...sleek, I guess. Some hate them, because they seem to be always happy and grinning. The second type like proto-drakes more - because they simply look badass.
My favorites are the drakes - Red, Bronze, Black, Twilight...

In my opinion the new proto-drakes along with the phoenix seem to be the best looking mounts in game.
The proto-drakes from the achievements carry with them an extra amount of prestige.
It means something if you have them. Probably that you should tone down WoW and go out once in a while.
Also the these mounts along with the arena drakes are the fastest in game with a flying speed of 310% only adding in their value.

Coolest byfar would have to be the Plagued Proto Drake, earned from completing the 10man Raid Achievements...
