Walk softly, and Carry a big book
Referance to Dawn of War, Space Marine Commander. His quote is Walk softly, and carry a big gun. Since, as a Pali, guns are out of the question, a big book may fit the gap.

That's a much older quote than that. Theodore Roosevelt popularized it when he said "Speak softly and carry a big stick" in a speech around the the beginning of the 1900s.
