Yo locks,
Was just in heroic Blood Furnace and was asked to fear one of the mobs pretty much every pull. Now i always though Fear in an instance was a no no because of the possibility of aggroing other mobs. Anyway i am fearing the mobs they want me to and its going ok until one of the mobs i fear aggros a patrol and we wipe... i get blamed... and this come over /p chat
'If you cant control the fear dont use it!'
So my question is... how do you control fear?

After you Fear a mob and it starts going somewhere you don't want it to then you cast CoR to make it head back towards you. You'll see that the mob still has Fear on it, but CoR makes it ignore the Fear effect. When the Mob is under control cast another Curse on it like CoA and it will remove CoR from the mob and make it run from the Fear effect again. You can use level one spell of CoR and CoA repeatedly without using a lot of mana.

Using Curse of Exhaustion would be a better alternative to CoA if you have it. It will slow him so you can apply your CoR again more easily. Don't expect to do much damage on the other mobs though since you'll have to keep an eye out on the feared mob.
Alternatively, you can put dots and damage curses on the mob and try to kill him when he's feared. Since you'll be focusing on him, it shouldn't be a problem to re-fear when it breaks.
