You say you're a tank - then why on earth
would you pick Feral Aggression over Ferocity, when the latter offers vastly more benefits in terms of threat generation?
Also, Nature's Grasp / Improved Nature's Grasp are useless for tanking. It's a talent used for running away, or getting some distance, and as such, is generally utilized by PVPers (if one were to spec deep balance for PVE, the starting 5 points would go in Starlight Wrath).
Furthermore, why did you skip Shredding Attacks in that build? Lacerate is your second best attack in terms of threat-per-rage (the usual tanking cycle on a single target is Mangle, Lacerate x3, rinse and repeat, using Maul if you have extra rage), why wouldn't you want to make it cost less?
I disagree with the build Rubbersoulz posted, as well, on a few points:
- Why Brutal Impact? It's mostly a PVP talent; in PVE, most bosses aren't stunnable, and if you stun something you're getting no rage from being hit, which makes holding aggro more difficult (there's a reason rogues get told off for stunlocking mobs off tanks).
The only reason one would ever use Bash on a PVE target would be to stun it out of casting something - in which case the untalented version is enough. If something needs to be stunned for longer, there are other classes that are better suited to do it than a tanking druid.
- No Shredding Attacks (see above for the reason why).
- Natural Shapeshifter is, at best, a pure DPS catform talent (lower cost for shapeshifting equals more mana to powershift). As a feral tank, the amount of shapeshifting you'll be doing is very limited.
The usual tanking build is 0/47/14
. I can further explain some of the talent choices there, if necessary.
