Feral pvp gear and gems

i noticed that feral pvp gear took a weird turn, dropping all of the str and int. does this need to be compensated for?
i.e. adding str and int gems? the new pvp gear also seems to be void of armor penetration, hit rating, and expertise. i'm assuming that all gem slots will be taken by these.
is it then appropriate to replace boots/belt and possibly one other piece with caster gear? wyrmhide perhaps, trading some agi for int and AT for spell power (nice for healing?)
there was barely enough int on the pvp gear from 70 :(
how important is str? druids get 2x AT from it, which is super nice. my AT from 70s was through the roof and i liked that. what to do? is str neccessary?
please advise.
also, please avoid fiery vehement replies, its just ugly. if what i posted is idiotic, keep it to yourself. be constructive; its much nicer

i haven't heard this about staffs. so it will convert for druids? how so?
also, i'm confused about this 50% less mana consumtion from primal tenacity
http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=33957
. this ability doesnt say anything about mana
ok. so the str is made up for by AT
but what about INT. shapeshifting, even with Furor, is expensive, let alone just a moments healing. they put all those stats on feral gear in BC for a reason. why the nerf?
im curious about the primal tenactiy thing
