When i leveled my lock up to 60 (pre-BC), i went the first 5 points into affliction with imp corruption, and the rest into demonology. In terms of arena/BG's it depends on your style of play, if u like OMG ONE SHOTTING people then destro is a good tree for that, affliction and demonology are more surviveability. Personally i like affliction the best as it is the most mana efficient for me, and i hate fights where im contanstly life tapping. that all im gonna say for now cause im about to fall asleep :/

I liked leveling affliction because of the fact that it was excellent for my playing style in both leveling and in PvP. I started out by grabbing basically high stam gear so that I could take the hits and adjusted my intelegence later so that I wasn't constantly life-tapping. Dark Pact (affliction)really came in handy come instances when the imp was out because it was basically a mana battery and not many raid groups want any other minion out. Very rare are you Voidwalker tanking... in my experiences its (Felpup in heavy magic caster areas and you have mostly melee party members, Succubus when dealing with multiple melee fighters and you have mostly magic casters ni your party, and imp if there is a balance.

That's my L60 right now and I like it quite a bit. Amplified Curse of Agony is -really- nice, but if you aren't taking affliction, there's Curse of Shadow in later levels. -DEFINITALLY- go with Empowered Corruption if you go Affliction. Its worth it!

Sure you don't get the end skills but I think the better stuff comes early anyways. This way you have the instant Corruption, SL and Demonic Knowledge to take less damage and do more yourself and finally enough into Destruction to increase your crit damage and your chance to resist interruption. I do spend a lot of my free time trying to figure out exactly how to spec my lock but for an all around PvP type spec I would go with something like this. ^_^
