Ok, as is the topic name, I'm confused on flying mount training. What skill do I need for the very first flyer, what level do I need to learn it, how much will it cost, and finally, do I need the epic ground mount training and then another training? Thanks much to anyone who can answer this.

the first flying training goes for around 1k gold. This will be at lvl 70. You will need one of the mounts that flies at 60% speed. You must have all prior skill to learn it. Also you will need to fork out anouther 1kg at 77 to get cold weather flying for northrend.

Riding skills:
75: 60% landmount, level 30.
150: 100% landmount, level 60.
225: 60% airmount, level 70. 1k gold
300: 280/310% airmount, level 70. 5k gold
Cold Weather Flying: Allows flying in Northrend.

can give you all the riding skills from the lvl 30 mount to epic flying.
Each rank in flying costs more, as Slimda said the prices I won't repeat them. To get each rank, you must have the previous rank, and the required level. Except Cold Weather Flying, which just requires the first flying rank. Once you hit 70 you can get flying. So to get your first flying mount(60% flying) you will need to buy the flying skill for 800 gold and the mount is 100 gold.
For Cold Weather Flying at level 77 you just fork over another 1k gold to be able to fly in Northrend.

You have to love prices that were determined back when everyone was at the level cap and had nothing to do but earn gold. I'll be level 80 before I even get the slow flying mount.
By the time I had leveled my Death Knight from 55 to 77 (his professions were mining/blacksmithing, so no chance of extra income there early on), I had enough gold for flying, cold weather flying, and a mount. I was also about 1500g on my way to epic flying. Most of that came from vendoring soulbound quest rewards (I was shipping BoEs to my Enchanter to disenchant).

As I leveled to 70 I had no problem buying my flying mount as soon as I dinged. If you don't have enough gold by that point in time, you need to stop hitting the auction house so much. There is no reason what so ever to buy greens from the auction house during 60-70. You can find all your equipment from quest rewards and instances. Leveling in Northrend brought in about 2500-3000g for me by the time I was 80.
Play your cards right and you'll be making money in no time.

It really amazes me at how dumb some people can be. Did you even read the question that was asked?

So basically he's asking what he needs to do to get his EPIC flying training and how much it'll cost. and you answer about normal flying training then CWF training.
Reread what you quoted. I'll help. italics for emphasis. In fact he was not asking about epic flying, but the "very first flier" which is not epic flying.
And yes It really amazes me at how dumb some people can be. Did you even read the question that was asked?
