I play a ret Pal, and I certainly heal myself, tanks, healers and other DPS when needed.
Of course, I only have a 6k mana pool, so it goes pretty fast, but I'll always do what I can!
This, however, usually leads to me catching flack for having low DPS when I have to heal a lot.... I've even been kicked from groups because my DPS dropped under 2k (on a 5 man) due to the fact that I was the only one healing the MT....
If im specd balance i will try heal, however if im feral i try pick up aggro. Still, at least try to do something...

At that level, the shaman honestly has no excuse NOT to have healing spells on his/her action bar or keybound. It's not exactly hard to spam LHW on the tank until the bad stuff breaks.
Just did a Naxrun on my main, first one since a looooooooong time :p
offtank on gluth DC'd, tank was getting stacks
Yes I went defencive stance, equiped my shield and screamed for heals :p
Doing that once every decimate safed the day :p
I have no problem tossing a few heals if I see the healer is having problems or is afk/dced. But I will not be forced to shift out of shadowform on every pull, it is simply annoying. If it's a very undergeared tank or an undergeared/bad healer then the solution is to find a new group. As a shaman it's even easier because you don't have to shift out of anything to be able to throw a couple heals if needed. Wish I hadn't rolled a hybrid unless I planned on being full time healer because 99% of the time I will get asked to heal when my main spec and gear are shadow. WTB class change to warlock.
