the strength of frostfire is it's insane crits from the fire and frost talents
if you were going the arcane route, you need spell power to make up for the fact that you aren't going deep fire and dont have burnout
this is the spec i've seen and now swear by it

Why not improved frost bolt or improved fireball?There's also not any instances where there's enough spellpush back with the mechanic changes where you lose enough dps including pyroblast weaving and LB weaving that your dps will suffer. For frost that counts for FoF+icelances. Plus, in fire the extra crit applied into incineration will help for all the AOE trash you'll be doing as well as helping your hotstreak's.
I honestly don't play frost in a raid setting and the frost mage I knew, we had a small falling out. All the mages I know now are ffb spec. But I may give a go in next week's naxx a try just for a change of pace.
