I've gone Fury for leveling thru Pandaria (the first time as this spec since I first started playing during TBC era) and while I'm not 90 yet, I think I'm finally getting the hang of things for PvE.
Stances have changed this expansion and spells/abilities are no longer tied down to any particular stance. Changing stances also no longer changes your action bar. I find myself using
Battle Stance exclusively now, even while solo questing. I find myself swimming in rage, which is a much welcomed change as Fury.
Berserker Stance now seems to be for PvP.
For "rotations" (quoted because most classes now are priority-based but the term "rotation" is still commonly used):
Bloodthirst is one of only three ways to proc
Enrage (when it crits), which is a huge part of our specialization/
mastery. It also procs
Deep Wounds and a chance to proc
Bloodsurge. Next, comes
Colossus Smash--the 2nd way to proc Enrage (again when it crits)--and allows your attacks to bypass the target's armor for 6 secs. Those are the only two attack abilities with cooldowns that Fury has, so keep them both on CD. The 3rd way to proc Enrage is manually via
Berserker Rage.
Raging Blow can only be used when Enraged, so hit it when it procs. This can stack twice, so don't worry about chaining Enrages. To clarify, if you hit Berserker Rage and your Bloodthirst crits while it's still active, you will be able to cast Raging Blow twice in a row. When
Bloodsurge procs, use
Wild Strike 3 times in a row.
When you have excess rage and nothing is proc'ing, you can use either Wild Strike or Heroic Strike. I haven't done the math to determine which is better but I've seen they kind of do about the same amount of damage on mobs while questing. I'm sure someone will correct me on this.
For single target (I follow something like this): Colossus Smash > Bloodthirst (if not Enraged) > Execute (when applicable) > Raging Blow (when Enraged) > Wild Strike (3x during Bloodsurge) > Bloodthirst
Wild Strike during Bloodsurge may come before Raging Blow, again I'm unsure.
For multiple targets of 3+, I build my rage up to near 90 and spam
Whirlwind three times (depending on the number of mobs) then follow with a Raging Blow, which becomes an aoe thanks to
Meat Cleaver. If you are in dungeons, build that rage thru a single target "rotation" then unleash your aoes. Your tank will appreciate it and you won't die as often. Don't forget to include your level 60 talent ability (Bladestorm, Shockwave, Dragon Roar) somewhere in the mix when you have downtime.
Glyphs in this expansion have been reworked. Primes are gone and Majors don't affect your dps much (if at all), so there is no longer an all-around must-have set. Minors are purely cosmetic. Take a look thru
the list and see what suits you. For questing/leveling, I'm using
Glyph of Bloodthirst and
Glyph of Victory Rush for better survivability, and
Glyph of Death From Above because I can't get enough of Heroic Leap. Such a fun ability. GoBT is rather lackluster tbh, but at least it pads the damage I take from mobs somewhat. I may switch it out for something else more "fun".
Again, I'm far from an expert at Fury spec but this is what I've learned on my own by studying the tooltips and trying things out while questing and in dungeons. Hope it helps! If not, someone more knowledgeable will hopefully come and correct my mistakes. =)
