I've never really cared for the 2 piece set bonuses for 8 or 9. They're useful, but they lack the punch that other set bonuses from other classes give. Like the resto shaman t7p2 bonus (10% stronger water shield) was an extra 50 mana every time you got a water shield proc from a crit (which in raids is like every other chain heal cast... it's a big mana return)

So basically you are telling me the Druid Set bonuses suck... I don't see how shamans answer my question but any guidance is appreciated.
I was using it as an editorial on how other classes have more useful 2-piece bonuses, so to be more direct, if you're not going for the 4 piece, don't worry about the 2-piece.

Yes, it's an upgrade
. I believe the Cord of Pale Thorns is actually BiS.
Assuming, of course, you don't need the hit from the belt to stay capped.
Course if you do, i suppose
rigid king's amber
and
veiled ametrine
get you 38 of the 57 hit rating back and still net you about 39 more spellpower.
14 (base + gems + socket bonus)
2.8 (int difference)
22.8 (spirit)]
